The HP Photosmart C5280 is a compact machine with dimensions of 17.8 x 15.24 x 8.03 inches and a weight of only 15.71 pounds. The printer comes with a 1-year manufacturer's limited warranty. It has a very fast copying speed of up to 32 pages per minute. More so, the quality of prints that you get is very attractive! Plain black prints are printed at a speed of 7.3 pages per minute and colored docs at 2.4 pages per minute, which is slower when compared to other similar printers. Also, the quality of prints and photos is also a bit below average. The prints look at little feathery and photos a little grainy at default settings on plain paper. However, this can be overcome by special settings. The per page cost of the prints is reasonable. The printer comes along with a software with which you can view and edit images prior to saving the document.

The HP Photosmart C5280 has a paper tray that can hold 125 sheets of paper. The lid of this paper tray acts as output tray and can hold 50 sheets of paper. Also present is a tray for CD/DVD printing. By means of HP C3180 printer you can print high quality images of 4800 X 1200 dimensions with ease. However, this printer cannot house thick books, and it can't scan slides. With this printer, you can even print from the web without having the edges of the pages being cut off. With this multipurpose copier, you can scan photos at a high resolution of 4,800 x 4,800 dpi.

The HP Photosmart C5280 has a wonderful control panel with clearly labeled buttons. It also has a LCD display screen making navigation through menus easy. They even take you through editing options of photos. The printer has an automatic red eye-removal button. The copier supports has slots for SD Card, Compact Flash, xD-Picture Card, and MS Pro Duo Card. You can print photos directly from a memory card without going through your computer. The photo tray emerges automatically when printing photos. The HP Photosmart C5280 is compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems. The copier has a USB port but no Ethernet port. The installation process of the printer's drivers is easy and comes along with CD describing the installation process. The Photosmart C5280 has a number of software and utilities. However, the HP Photosmart C5280's manual's is not very comprehensive.
