Help Hidden Valley Lake, CA Make History for Itself on Squidoo

From the lens Hardesters Shopping Center's Spring Fling.

The Hardesters Shopping Center in Hidden Valley Lake, CA has never had a Squidoo lens as a Top 10 Local site. But, recently that honor was achieved. Then, on May 3rd, one of our press releases made it onto Google News. Please help us achieve our goal of becoming the Number 1 Local Squidoo site in the world by May 16th, the date of our Spring Fling. We don't need to stay there. We simply need to arrive. Just sign our Guest Book with an uplifting comment and you will help make that "magic" happen.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about our local merchants, their services and more importantly a chance to meet other members of our community. Last years event was well attended and many mentioned the importance to continue this year - and it is happening. Hope to see many of you there!!!

Community only comes together when we each say yes by action & that's when real magic happens. I believe it was Ghandi that said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." It looks like your community really believes that. Wishing you a magical weekend.

As the state's Small Business Advocate, please accept my warmest wishes for a fabulous event. I appreciate the hard work the organizers have been putting into the Spring Fling as much as I value the contributions that the Hidden Valley Lake area's small businesses are making to the renewal of California's economy. I hope you will look at the Small Business Advocate's web page to see if there is any way that the government of the state can assist you: www.sba.ca.gov.

I won't be able to make it out to Hidden Valley for the festival, but wishing you all the best from Weston Texas.

This is exciting to think of a "spring Fling!"

I live in YACHATS -- "GEM of the OREGON COAST" where we have the LaDeDa Parade on July 4th.

Hundreds gather to have a "fling" and enjoy seeing our Mayor & City Council lead off the Parade in a MANURE SPREADER, pulled by Captain AHab on his ole pop-pop John Deere tractor.....with the 3rd annual Duck Race on the Yachats River in the afternoon and then awesome Fireworks on the beach at dark.

    I like you fling!

Events, more than words, influence public opinion and action. We're all looking forward to the Hardester's Plaza Spring Fling. Way to go, Lamar!

Lamar & All - keep up the GREAT WORK!!! As a PROUD Live-Long resident of Lake County, I thank you for all that you bring to our beautiful community... Often refered to as "a diamond in the rough" - the "polish" that Lake County is developing is multi-fasceted, luminescent and brilliant!!! Together, we can make great things happen... The only thing that limits our potential is the depth of ones' imagination !! "Create your universe, so your universe does not create you"... :) Enjoy; my thoughts will be with you at the Spring Fling ! :) P.S... My "security word" (for submission of this "blurb" is "passion" - how fitting! :)

I'll be there with bells on the hamster races sound hilarious!

Must say you get points for effective use of social media. Here I am in Massachusetts, "visiting" a California shopping center because of the polite invitation you posted directly on my page. Best of luck with the event.
  • Jason Womack May 10, 2009 @ 10:41 pm | delete
If you only went to this event with this focus: "What one thing can I learn that will make a difference to my business?" I think it would be worth it.

Just last week, I sat through a 90 minute meeting and within the first 10 minutes got two ideas to build my business - I'd love to attend this one too!

For an idea you can use from this site, go back to the top and see the THREE CIRCLES and run your business plan through those filters...

    See what happens!

Warren, This Spring Fling Festival welcomes all Squidoo and Twitter experts to the festivities. This may indeed be "the Woodstock" of social media happenings - the least likely place for the magic to happen. So, spread the news...

per your request.. I'm signing in to let you know I was here.

The event seems really interesting and the cause which are inculcated is appreciable. The lens is really crafted well and the advertise poster are well designed in web2.0 style.

I am from India. I wish that I am in USA so I can attend and speak for twitter and squidoo and I am hoping such events start in India also.

I remember several years ago when you started this idea of building the identity of Hidden Valley and Middletown. Look at the progress and what it's becoming. A wonderful result for the whole community.
Congratulations Hidden Valley, sorry I can't be there.

I know your festival will be the best! Lamar Morgan asked for some international guests, well, I live in Bangkok, Thailand, but I am not sure whether that qualifies me necessarily because I am originally from Arkansas.

Folks, I really hope you enjoy yourselves. I know the organizers are working hard for this.

Great use of Squiddoo! Never think of it when I'm looking for a tool to make a mini-web site for an event! And speaking of events, this one sounds like fun! Hope you all have a great time!

    Lamar,

What a wonderful idea! sounds like it's going to be super fun. The horse riding adults is cool (it's always only available for kids) and the martial arts...definitely an event to remember!

Wow, you've worked VERY HARD to pull all this together! You might advertise a Squidooer's and a Twitterer's 'meet-up' on this day. Use the SquidU lounge and twitter- ask people to pass the news along!
  • John James O'Brien Apr 30, 2009 @ 10:40 am | delete
Great idea! Pulling together an opening is all about celebrating potential, even in things that are already on the go! Really like some of the ideas for prizes, but even more the opportunity for community members to get to know each other and show off to surrounding areas. It's a long commute from my base in Hong Kong, so I'm attending in spirit if not in person! All the best for a great event.

    Cheers from Asia,
    John

My hat's off to you all for a superb job of creating a celebration which has all earmarks of a fabulous family day ..... and all those freebies? .. (Please don't nudge me).

BTW the offer still stands of No-Fuss Video Streaming of any function you choose. ( http://budurl.com/ynkh )

Make no mistake, this is one festival that may be historic in its scope and innovation for Lake County, CA. Don't miss it!
