Hacking Video Game Consoles

Do you like to bring stuff with you? Do you like to have everything there wherever you are? Well, then you're just like me. If anything I can use anytime, anywhere, well then I want it (well as long as I like it)! Or do you like hobbies, something to keep you busy, or just plain projects? Well then I've got the book for you! You'll find out in this lens what my Atari project is that's in my bio.

What is This Book?

Ok you have no idea what this book is about, well I'll tell you! This book is about making Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Super Nintendo mini, PlayStation 1, and Atari 2600 portable systems. You take screens, the systems, and other hard ware and make a super cool portable, of your very own(that's the best part)! This book has two different ways to build the portable, handmade, or CNC cut. You have to have access to a CNC machine to make CNC portables. You can make more complex cases with it, so smaller portables, like the one in the picture. If you don't have a CNC machine near you, or you just don't have one, don't worry! This book has it so you can make the casing too!

This is the book the whole lens is about! (but it is actually yellow) This book has step-by-step instructions on how to make a portable. You don't need to be super smart with electronics to understand. I have learned a lot from my book, and maybe, after making the projects you could make a different portable. If you want to know about the author I have a lens about him Ben Heckendorn.

How Do I Build a Portable?

You might be saying 'I can't build that!' or 'That's nice, but not for me'. But believe me you can. This book is really easy to follow and you don't have to know a lot about electronics to understand. Ok so first for sure you need a soldering pen (or gun or any thing that shoots solder, but pen is the most accurate) Oh soldering guns hot right, but if you're careful, I think you'll be just fine. If you don't have one well you can buy one here. Second, a screen you should use the PS1 screen or a Casio EV-680 Pocket TV. Well you need a screen right? If you don't have one, well buy one here. Three, THE SYSTEM!!!! pick either a NES, Super Nintendo, PS1, or Atari, or all four! If you don't have one well buy one from here! And make sure (and make sure again!) that you put (your name) was here and then the date. For example, lets pretend I just finished a project, then I put Josh was here (the date).

What's So Great About These Portable Systems?

You can't get these anywhere else! Only you can make them. No one else will have them! It's all yours. And plus, you can brag to your friends about it. You can see my project and book here.
