"Hair" Metal Bands
Just my opinion
Love 'em or hate 'em, the "Hair" Metal bands were a big part of anyone who grew up in the 80's. Did it all start to sound alike? Maybe. Did they all look alike? A little. I'll bet there's a lot of people out there who have some pretty fond memories wrapped around this kind of music. Hair Metal Search on Google

Glam metal (also known as hair metalhttp://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=77:2693) is a subgenre of heavy metal that arose in the late 1970s and early 1980s in the United States, particularly on the Los Angeles Sunset Strip music scene. It was popular throughout the 1980s and briefly in the early 1990s, combining the flamboyant look of glam rock and playing a power-chord based hard rock musical style.
"Hair bands" was the derogatory term popularized by MTV in the 1990s and derives from the tendency among such bands to have styled their long hair in a teased-up fashion.

- Funny thing. I was never a big "Hair" band fan, but I dig the crap out of Faster Pussycat and Warrant.

- I still love hair metal. I think the 80's was the best era for music! Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Poison and a lot of other bands made their debut in the 80's. Excellent lens. I think I'll go throw an 80's CD on now. Haha
