Great lens. I have lived in Letcher County for about 8 years now. The area is beautiful and improves every year.

What an interesting lens. I live in Warren County, Kentucky, but would love to go to see Harlan County. You have done a great job of putting many different sources and subjects on your lens for people to explore Harlan County in many ways. Thank you for sharing your knowledge about your area of Kentucky.

I LOVE HARLAN COUNTY!! And Laurel County, and Jackson County. I just flat love the mountains of Kentucky and the people living there. Pine Mountain is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.

As a Home Health Nurse, I was blessed to travel throughout several mountain counties. It was quite an adventure for this old Kansas girl. Sometimes I get so homesick for the mountains I can hardly stand it.

Thanks for visiting my Jackson County lens. I've lensrolled yours to mine, along with a 5 and fave.

My grandmother lived in Keokee Va until she died in 1993. We used to visit every Sunday. There is certainly some very beautiful countryside in VA. Thanks for commenting on and rating my lens! It it much appreciated.

The ABC special sounds interesting. I did home health for a few years in the mountains of east Tennessee and it was and eye opener for me!

Enjoyed your lens. We plan to visit Kentucky in 2010 and I like knowing about the history of places we visit before we go. Probably won't do any ATVing though. :-)

I have been reading about Harlan for a couple of years, and would love to take my ATV's up for a visit. Maybe this is the summer I will make the dream come true.

Very educational lens. I've done a similar lens on the plight of the Irish in Ireland. Please come and check it out when you have time. 5*s, lensroll and favored.

I saw the Diane Sawyer piece and hoped that some good might come of it. But couldn't help but believe that it might help to show more of the positive side of things in the area.

I sing Loretta Lynn's song "A Coal Miners Daughter", and "Blue Kentucky Girl", on karaoke and someday would really like to be able to sing it in Kentucky. I'm in Maine.
