A Great Christian Painter

The "Michaelangelo of the 20th century" may be gone, but his art remains. World-renowned artist Harry Antis, went home to be with the Lord on January 30th, 2002.

Christian paintings by Harry Antis can be viewed at the museum where The Passion Play is seen in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We own a copy of his work called "Jesus and Nicodemus."

We were introduced to Harry Antis paintings at the museum where the Passion Play is. We really enjoyed his work. Many of the paintings were huge and depicted scenes from the life of Christ. We loved them so much that we planned to buy one.
Harry Antis also did the frames that went along with the paintings that were hung there. You could tell a lot of effort was put into them. I believe the paintings are on loan and not a permanent part of the collection there. If you get a chance to go to Eureka Springs, be sure to check them out!

I was the Model for Joseph in the nativity scene for harry, i would really love to see the original painting. Is the exhibit going to be there for a while?
