What Does The Future Hold For Industrial Music?
Greetings cyberpunks, fiends, goths....whatever you want to be....welcome to my lens. Some of you might have seen my face before or know me, we will just let that remain unknown for now. Let me just spout off a little about myself. I'm a musician and I play and tweak synthesizers and program with different music creation software, Reason, FL Studio, Pro-Tools Etc, Etc. I don't see any reason we can't get into a discussion about that here as well....why not. I like to listen to music as much as I like to make it. And I've wanted to share. I've been listening to Industrial music for a long time now. I remember hearing Skinny Puppy for the first time. And the song Tin Omen could not have been a better Puppy tune to be introduced to. Of course I ended up buying everything they released. Lately, I've been leaning more towards this new breed of Harsh Electro / Breakcore music that seems to be tearing apart the scene...and my speakers. I'm talking about groups like Die Sektor, Xentrifuge, Tactical Sekt, Dioxyde, Acylum, Terrorfakt, and lots others. I'm really starting to like this really heavy stuff and have found a ton of these groups on MySpace. If it wasn't for MySpace there is a lot of this stuff I would have never heard. Things have sure changed in the scene and this new breed of Harsh Electro is getting pretty awesome. Agree? Disagree? Well this is the place to do it. Hate something? Love something? Let's talk about it.

Well, there was a brief period this decade where not too many great bands put out anything decent. But everything now seems to be coming back full circle!
It's inevitable that our type of music will eventually become the norm.
All music styles at one point in time hit their height of popularity even if some of those were for a brief moment. Industrial hasn't hit their mainstream peak yet, so we have much to look forward to.
