He-Man Cartoon

He-Man was based on the story of a Prince called Adam who was a musclebound, blonde haired coward on a fictitious planet called Eternia.

Prince Adam has a Power sword and when he holds it aloft uttering the famous words "By the Power of Grayskull! I have the Power!" he becomes the most powerful man in the universe....He-Man.

Using these immense powers He-Man and his faithful friends defend Eternia from the powers of the evil forces of Skeletor!

Skeletor was known as "The Evil Lord of Destruction" and was the arch nemesis of He-Man.

Skeletor was constantly trying to conquer Eternia so he could take over Castle Greyskull to find out its ancient secrets.

Living on Snake Mountain on Eternia Skeletor constantly tries to use black magic for his own evil gains but always fails miserably due to having less than adequate underlings causing Skeletor to become unhappy and say he is "surrounded by idiots."

Prince Adam, who He-Man is without his power, is the son of King Randor and Queen Marlena who rule Eternia. Prince Adam also has a twin sister called She-Ra.

Prince Adam without his sword was always a cowardly man who wore a pink-and-white chemise cote d'azur with perwinkle stockings and purple boots.

Without the powers of He-Man Prince Adam was still musclebound in stature and had blonde hair.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe....well the masters of the universe were He-Mans friends and allies.

Battle Cat - Prince Adams lazy green cat that turns in to Battle Cat when Prince Adam is He-Man...he is always by He-Mans side!

Teela - Captain of the Royal Guard at the palace Teela helps He-Man protect Eternia from Skeletor yet does not know his alter ego of Prince Adam.

Man-At-Arms - Man-At-Arms is Teela's foster father and Prince Adams mentor, he is also a soldier and inventor. Man-At-Arms is one of only three people who know He-Mans true identity.

Orko - Orko is a "Trollan" and has magical abilities, they use levitation as a mode of travel and you will never see Orko's feet which stay hidden under his red robe.

Orko never really manage to grasp his magical powers and one of the funny parts in the cartoon in every episode was watching Orko's magic backfire on him in a different way every time.

On 26th December 1987 the full feature life action film that was based on the original cartoon of He-Man was released. This film was entitled Masters of the Universe.

The film story is about Skeletor having finally captured the Castle Greyskull and holds the Sorceress prisoner, sapping her life as every moment passes.

While this is happening He-Man and his loyal friends had been transported to Earth through the magic of a cosmic key that Skeletor has in his possession.

He-Man and his followers need to find the key to get off Earth and save Castle Greyskull.

Currently a new film version of He-Man is under development. This film is due out sometime in 2011 and is also currently entitled Masters of the Universe.

All that is known is that the He-Man toy makers Mattel have agreed and that the film is a collaboration between Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver.

Its clear that even fashionable rappers love He-Man. The rapper and actor is of the right age to have watched He-Man as a young boy growing up in Illinois...how do we know this, well Ludacris even has a rap song about He-Man.

Ludacris uses all his lyrics in reference to He-Man and has the He-Man theme tune all the way through the song.
