Weight Loss on a Healthy Diet

Losing weight is a goal shared by many people. However there are healthy ways and dangerous ways to go about this. This lens is going to focus on the healthy diets that will lead to you losing weight while also pointing out areas or behaviors that you should avoid.

Healthy weight loss can provide great benefits. Examples of these are.

Improved self confidence and self worth

Increase your mobility and give you more energy through out the day

Most cases probably lower your blood pressure and cholesterol (I am not a doctor so don't quote me on that one)

Weight loss done incorrectly will only be a temporary fix as most times when done incorrectly it is hard to maintain what you have lost. This can also lead to psychological disorders and or physical problems from malnutrition.

Why bother with all that when there are plenty of healthy ways to lose weight.

The One Technique That Helps Above All Others

Peer Involvement

If anyone has tried this before they can attest to its validity. If you are 100% serious about your diet and really want to succeed with it then you must share it with your friends, family, coworkers, or anyone who will listen to you.

You would be surprised the affect this has on you. The first thing is that it holds you accountable for what you tell them because let me tell you they definitely will hold you accountable.

Don't believe me?

Try it. Tell your best friend that you are going to go on a low carb diet and then next time you are going out to eat tell them you are thinking about ordering a pizza. I bet they make a comment of something like "I thought you were on a diet."

They are not doing this to be mean but it just seems natural for them to keep you in check. You will be amazed at the success you will bring and it is the first way i know when someone is serious about their diet.

Bottom line share your healthy diet plans with your friends and family.

This is also the ultimate checks and balance because they will also express any concerns about your diet if they feel it is not healthy.

By August of 2007 I had lost 80 lbs, and after 4 years of trying with no success, I finally became pregnant, but unfortunately suffered a loss. I got right back on my regimen. And, by March 2008 I was down 102 lbs. By September of 2008 I had reached a total weight loss of 115 pounds when my husband and I found out we were pregnant again COMPLETELY naturally! Our little guy arrived on May 15, 2009! I am so emotional, fired up and passionate about what i did for myself. I decided i was FED UP with being overweight, tired, hairy, childless, bitter and utterly miserable! I want to share this with you all. I want you guys to feel how wonderful i feel now, about myself and my life and even my PCOS! If you're ready to make the change. The change to happiness and hope, contact me. I am always more than happy to share with other women with this, and similar disorders b/ci truly want to bring everyone with PCOS to the same place of hope and acceptance that i was FINALLY able to achieve. Stay Hydrated

Don't Forget to Consume Water

Water is always very helpful to the body. It is even more important in these times when you are trying to lose weight.

Drinking water will ease your hunger urges when they come on and leave you feeling full for long enough for your mind to forget that you were hungry. I am not advocating that you drink water instead of eating.

I just know that when trying to lose weight a quick gulp of water would fit off the hunger which prevented me from eating unhealthy snacks between my planned meals.

Another mistake you see people make is intentionally decreasing there water intake for a short term weight loss goal. This might be affective but not consuming the proper amount of water can have a negative affect on your body and you will put those pounds back on as soon as you drink water.
