Heaven Testimonies of what it will be like.

Whatever we consider to be a joy here on earth will be heightened many times beyond anything we can conceive when we get to heaven. Family is important in heaven and the family members you knew on earth, would still have great bonds of love in heaven. You will be able to know your descendants back through the ages to Noah and his family, and back even further to Adam and Eve. It's likely that as you arrive in heaven, people who had known you on earth will gather to greet you. Family members, relatives, friends, co-workers, fellow church members and the like will know you in a special way in heaven.
Throughout the holy city of Zion are the mansions of the saints. These beautiful buildings are open to all, meaning that there are no front doors, so that anyone can come and visit. There is no need to worry, since there is no crime in heaven and no one can take anything that belongs to you. Throughout the holy city of Zion are tributaries of the river of the waters of life, alongside of which grows the trees of life. There are beautiful parks and places to sit and talk. All of heaven is spotlessly clean including the roadways. You won't need to wash your spiritual garments in heaven, they've been washed forever by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus our Messiah. You might think that with your mansion open that there might be a steady stream of visitors which would bother you, but visits are by permission of both visitor and host and are welcomed. Heaven will be like you've never imagined.
There will be no heat. "They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; (Revelation 7:16)Gravity will be absent or reduced? Revelation describes the New Jerusalem as a cube 1,500 miles on each side. Under the current laws of gravity, any structure that size would immediately become a sphere. Therefore gravity would be either absent or greatly reduced.
"And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband... And the city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal." (Revelation 21:2, 16)
Names will be checked to see if they are in the "book of life." Anyone whose name is not found in the "book of life" will be thrown into the lake of fire, based upon the deeds that they had done in their lives. God does not grade on the curve, so all people who have been guilty of any one of the violations above will be sent to the lake of fire, which is the second death. (Revelation 20:15 & 20:6)

How do I get to heaven?
So how can we enter into heaven and into the presence of the Holy God? What we cannot do for ourselves, God has already done for us. Jesus said, "unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."38 Jesus went on to explain that the second birth is to be born spiritually. Those who are born just once will die physically then will die spiritually at the second death,37 following the Great White Throne judgment.34 Those who are born twice (both physically and spiritually) will die physically, but will live spiritually forever.
How are people born again spiritually? Jesus said:
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Belief in Jesus removes us from the White Throne Judgment, because Jesus took the penalty (death) for our sin at the cross. What age are you in heaven?
In heaven, the inhabitants are not the same age as when they died. Adults appear to be at the most robust age (we might say on earth that they are 25-30 years of age). No sickness, no disease, no birth defects show in heaven, the body you have there is perfect. You do see children there, the ones who died at a young age, in childbirth, or were aborted. They have a heavenly body of the same age as when they died. As they are educated in the Word of God, heavenly music, and loving care, they grow up in maturity. So let's say that a woman had a girl-child on earth die at the time she was born. If the woman lived a long life on earth, she would arrive in heaven greeted by the daughter who died at birth. Only, the daughter would be a young woman, grown up spiritually in heaven. The mother would still recognize her daughter who had died at birth on earth.(Mary K. Baxter and Jesse Duplantis both talk about babies & unborn babies that die will go to heaven. That alone is awesome!)

Does God take people to heaven and/or hell, and send them back to deliver a message to us?
God COULD give a person a vision of heaven or hell. God gave the Apostle Paul just such a vision in 2 Corinthians 12:1-6. Isaiah had an amazing experience as recorded in Isaiah chapter Yes, it is possible that Piper, Wiese, Baxter, and others have truly been to heaven/hell and come back. Ultimately, only God knows if these claims are true or the result of misperception, exaggeration, or worst, outright deception. The only way for us to discern is to compare the visions and experiences with the Word of God.Overall, we find "90 minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper to be the most biblical and believable of all the available books.

How do we enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ?
We do this through belief in Him:
1. Repent of your sin and selfishness. Repentance is agreeing with God that you have been wrong and being willing to turn from that old life to a new life in Christ.
2. Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord (God and Master) and Savior (who takes away your sin).
3. Receive the Holy Spirit as the promise of what God will do in your life.
4. Thank God for His grace and the free gift that He has given you.

I come to you in the name of Jesus asking that you forgive me of my sins, and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness and guilt. I trust and believe that Jesus died and rose again to pay my sin penalty. I accept this free gift of salvation, and from this day forward, turn my life completely over to the Lord. I thank you and praise you God for giving me a new life in Christ. Amen.

- thankyou for the in put about eternity.a small group of us go and minister in a nursing home.today we are talking about eternity,heaven..and by faith leading these precious people to Jesus!! many of them are on the step to eternity! what a privilege for this door to be open for us to share the "good news".

- Our heavenly Father still invites His dear kids[Christians] to come into His Most Holy Place, which is at the heart of Heaven. - I will be working on my testimony soon, so I don't want to go around in comments talking about what that particular lens is going to say. Ha! I don't want to give it away, I guess.
I've been weak in my faith here recently, and being able to browse through the Christian lenses here on Squidoo has made an enormous difference for me. I've spent some time this afternoon just weeping and praying. It means a lot.

- Found this over at Tipi's and had to come for a look-see and right off found Jesse Duplantis, always enjoy his testimonies. You have wonderful personal stories here--Mickey Robinson certainly would inspire anyone. I've always liked the saying that someone with a testimony has it all over someone with a theory. Some things you can just not argue with. All glory to God!
