I must be slightly behind the times because I thought hello kitty was passé. Apparently this couldn't be further from the truth. But wait there's more!

It's true; more edible hello kitty cupcake top decorations. We've got the little kitty head in sugar shapes (perfect for the hyper child) that you can just plop on top of a frosted cupcake, or more of the flat decorations that cover the whole top of the cupcake as described previously. These however have different backgrounds. Some are polka dots and some are different colored stripes. There is even a cake border that you put around the birthday cake that is edible. I tell you, technology these days amaze me.

Here's the thing, I took a look at some of the hello kitty cupcake recipes and the resulting pictures of such. I'm not sure who decorated these cupcakes, but I would've gone with the prefabs. These things looked like something from another planet. They were scary kitty not hello kitty... Maybe hello scary kitty! I'm sorry... They were not good. They may have tasted good; but who's going to get close enough to find out? Cake Boss, from Carlo's Bakery had nothing to do with these; trust me.
