Excellent lens, Lynne, on a very sensitive subject. You are right. We have ALL either had some level of depression or a loved one has. Depression is rampant among caregivers, too, especially those caring for a spouse - shown to be 6x more likely to experience depression and anxiety problems than the general population! You offer hope, support, balance, and practical pro-active steps. Thank you!

Very informative lens - I loved the link to music. I would love to see more about music therapy and its impact on mood and mental agility (a la "The Mozart Effect").

You bring a fresh perspective to this deenergizing disease and help for others to get clear about what matters when depressed.

Very well done, Lynn! I was diagnosed depression when I was 11 years old to 16 years old. And glad to know other alternatives other than drugs/pills and crap. :)

Greate page. Nice work - design, flow, impact, support, value.

You might want to add something about depressed people forgiving themselves for feeling depressed - something like being depressed is a natural phenomena - part of living, it's a disease not necessarily a character or personal flaw or weakness, and so on.

Just my limited feedback on the subject and possibly enhancing the value of the page and it's positive impact on people who really don't even want to talk about.

P.S. - I love the part about music. From my experience and research, every person resonates well with (can find positive energy on all levels from) a certain music. The trick is to listen to lots of music to find what you feel good listening to, no matter your mood.

    Lynn,
Very good article. Excellent advise on drug use - don't do it - it only makes it worse in the long run.

    Solid Thumbs UP!
