Everyone has different skin types

Everyone has different skin types and different reactions to the various treatments available on the market today whether natural or prescription medications so if something works for a friend and not for you don't give up. Just because a product others claim worked for them and it doesn't for you doesn't mean the acne treatment is bogus, it just means it didn't work for your skin type.

Herbal Acne Treatment- Yay or Nay?

The reason for taking an herbal supplement

There are many different acne treatments available for sufferers. It can be hard to get through the maze of them and know what the best solutions are. More and more people are turning to an herbal acne treatment because they are generally safe and effective.

Since people are starting to realize that acne is very effectively fought internally there are many medications and herbal supplements to try. Some of the choices are Accutane, antibiotics, and herbal supplements. Which, if any, are best for you?

Consider these cases.

Sam has had enough of his acne. He went to his doctor and the doctor gave him a prescription for Tetracycline, an antibiotic that is commonly used for acne sufferers. Sam took the drug for a few months, and saw a bit of a difference but nothing to write home about.

Patricia has had severe acne all of her life. She has cysts that won't go away, and the ones that do seem to come back over and over again. Her doctor prescribed her Accutane. This drug worked wonders on her acne, but Patricia isn't so sure her health wasn't affected negatively.

Allen researched taking the other kinds of pills, and finally decided to take an herbal supplement that was designed specifically for acne. He didn't notice any side effects. The results took a while to come, but when they did he had a much better outlook on his skin and it had cleared up substantially. Since he knew the herbs were safe he had little hesitation to keep on taking them.

Which of these would you select? Granted, everyone is different and every situation is different. It is difficult to take just one person's story and apply it to your life. There are different severity levels for acne and everyone's body will handle the oral medications and supplements differently.

The best thing for you to do is to think about your acne and do plenty of research. If you are leaning toward taking something like Accutane it is definitely something you'll have to discuss with your doctor. Many people will prefer taking a safe, natural alternative instead.

The reason for taking an herbal supplement is because they are all natural. Many of the herbs included in these supplements have been around for centuries and have been used over and over with great success. These days companies are able to test and track results of different combinations and can present you with very viable options.

When you're examining different herbal acne treatment options it is important to look for some key ingredients. Some of these are Dandelion Root, Aloe Vera, Yellow Dock, Red Clover, and Licorice. These ingredients are helpful for teenage acne and adult acne alike.

So, if you had the choice between a medicine that is potentially harmful or a great natural alternative you might want to choose the natural option. There are many others who have found great success using an herbal acne treatment. You can be one of them!
