Learn to Create Hydrogen from Water to Fuel Your Vehicle
Remembering that in order for your car to run you will need an air/fuel mixture with a method to ignite that mixture in the right place at the right time. Both methods of supplying a hydrogen derivative to your engine act to supplement the fuel portion of that mixture. If we remember the Hindenburg we know that hydrogen is extremely flammable. Therefore it is definitely logical that it can be used as fuel.
The first method uses water mixed with a salt. There are various salts available for this purpose and with a little tweaking a system using seawater could save the step of salting the water. This salt/water electrolyte is stored in a container and then a metal alloy is introduced. The reaction is pure hydrogen. Of course the quantity available for fuel depends on the alloy used and the amount of electrolyte it is introduced into. More later.
The second method uses electrolysis. This method uses a low voltage to effectively split a molecule of water (h2o) into the component separate molecules with the hydrogen composing 66.6 percent and the oxygen being the remaining 33.3 percent. Once split the hydrogen is siphoned off to use as fuel and the residue is returned to the water (h2o) state by again applying the low-voltage. Method can be applied over and over again to continually produce the hydrogen from the water. The product when the residue is returned to the water is called Brown's gas or Brown's water. Excellent hydrogen based fuel product.
The similarity of the words electrolyte and electrolysis indicate a relationship. Bottom line is both rely on electricity. To produce hydrogen with electrolyte you rely on the solution to produce the necessary voltage. Electrolysis is the method whereas you apply an external voltage to the solution you are using to produce the hydrogen.

Using an electrolyte solution to emit hydrogen
While a simple method this is not one that lends itself to large production and storage (usage) by the everyday home chemist.First we must realize that ordinary water can be considered a battery, holding vast amounts of energy.
Base line is that water is simply hydrogen and oxygen, separate the hydrogen out and it becomes a very usable source of fuel. If we add a "salt" to the water it becomes an electrolyte. This "salt" can be something simple like table salt or more exotic such as campfire ash. Something a bit more caustic in your mix? Then use a hydroxide---simply named Red Devil Lye. Be careful here as this is a drain cleaner and can be a bit rough on skin (or eyes).
We now have our basic "battery" and time to tickle it into action. Best way to introduce a catalyst is some form of a cheap metal alloy. Plentiful supply can be had with soda containers.
The reaction of the electrolyte and the alloy causes the oxygen molecules to be separated from the hydrogen. Product is pure hydrogen. Supply limited only by the amount of water, salt and alloy you are capable of supplying. Hydrogen gas burns without the need of oxygen and produces heat (energy) with absolutely no pollution.
Later we can work on methods of capture and supply to your chosen method of transportation.

Electrolysis and the Creation of Fire From Water
This is Where All the Hoopla Comes to Rest
So you have a gas which is two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. Sounds like water doesn't it? Well is it, although in a different atomic state that allows use of the hydrogen molecule separate from the oxygen. This gas burns cleanly. Leaving no particulate pollution as the residue of completely combusted hydrogen would simply be oxygen. And if the combustion was not complete the residue would, again, simply be water!! Design the separation/capture system properly and have an on-demand supply of an accessible and burnable fuel for our transportation.
This can bring up a subject for another day. If the electrolysis produces separate hydrogen and oxygen molecules, and combustion of the hydrogen leaves only the oxygen then the question is. Can we increase the available oxygen in the atmosphere by burning water?? What a concept.

Commercial Browns Gas Systems
Can We Really Increase Our Mileage Effectively?
Okay so what. We have taken water and produced hydrogen in one form or another (pure or Browns gas). We know it burns in either form. Time to examine any method of applying this to our vehicles and cutting our gasoline fuel costs. So, do we want to purchase a complete ready to install system or do we want to explore educational products that teach us to build our own under their tutelage.
Lets try www.watercarpro.com
which will get you an e-book guide to convert your vehicle. This guide and a couple of hundred dollars will get your vehicle producing its own on-demand system. This system introduces the savings of gasoline by using the hydroxy as a supplemental source of fuel to your vehicle.
Another source for an e-book guide would be www.waterfuelx.com which again delivers to you via the internet all of most of the information you would need to convert your vehicle to utilize this method of fueling. Once again please note that this site also emphasizes you will see an INCREASE in fuel mileage not a complete hydrogen system to power your vehicle.
And for a very comprehensive set of books that are beautifully organized and detailed try Water4Gas
This outfit also promises a very satisfactory mileage increase when your on-demand system is utilized.
If you search for a ready made product and compare the price with any of these e-book guides you will see a substantial difference. I believe the recommended method would be to utilize one of the guides and create your own "home-brew" and see just what mileage differential you can achieve!
