What you want to do is find a keyword with less competition, less than 30,000 and have visitors approximately around 100 per day. You will have to try a number of keywords before finding the right keyword.

Another tool that you can use to find keywords is Google Keyword Tool



Enter the keyword you wish to analyze, say "weight loss", key in the code and click the "Get Keyword Ideas" button and you will be shown the results page as follows:



In the result page you will have the Keywords that have been search, Advertiser Competition, Approx Search Volume and Approx Avg Search Volume. The keywords that you should use is the keywords that have less competition. To determine the number of competitions go to Google and type-in the keyword with double inverted comma. If you type-in "weight loss", you will find that the competition is 92,600,000. That is a huge number and you do not want that kind of number for you article marketing.

Find keywords like "weight loss meals" which at the time of writing, has only 21,900 competition. For your article marketing, you need to rank high in search engines. To do that, get keywords with less competition and create good, resourceful and keyword stuffed article.

Articles written must be a good, resourceful and stuffed with keywords. There is no point for you to write articles just for the sake of writing articles. This is a must if you want to get visitors to go to your landing page or to your website.

It is of utmost important that you provide a articles with informations. People who surf the internet are looking for informations and that is what you are going to provide to them. So provide them with informations which they are looking for.



How many words should you write for an article and how many articles should you write for submission? There are some people who wrote 300 words per article and some 500 words per article. For me, I prefer to write 500 words and above per article. This is simply because some article directories require you to write 500 words per article. For submission I usually submit two articles per week.

For keywords in articles, I usually insert 3 keywords in every 100 words. So for 500 words article, I will have 15 keywords and this does not include keywords in the resource box. Also remember to insert keywords in your last paragraph of the article.

In your article body, if the article directory permits you to do so, insert your affiliate link or you website link. Depending on each article directory rules and regulations, you may insert 2 to 3 links in the article body. Also in your resource box you should include your links. This article marketing technique you should not forget.
