Alternatively, companies that sell toothpastes with the special whitening ingredient of baking soda are also selling it at an overprice. And, interestingly enough, we still continue to purchase these products.
I don't get it. Why do we purchase these whiteners when we could simply just whiten our own teeth for 3 to 10 times less the cost by using products such as Hydrogen Peroxide or Baking Soda?
My 5 best tips for staying healthy
Overview - If you want to whiten your teeth at home then you'll want to use these products, and follow some of these tips.1. Brush and Floss your teeth everyday - This is essential. Be clean and be consistent!
2. Try not to eat junk - No candy! If you do eat it quickly. (Don't let your teeth soak it in)

What do you think?
Yes. How are Crest Whitestrips not a ripoff? Just purchase the bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide. Rinse with the stuff every time before brushing your teeth and your teeth will whiten.
Do you think Crest Whitestrips are a ripoff?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byYes. Why not just purchase a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide?

Home Teeth Whitening on Wikipedia
To learn more about tooth whitening be sure to check out this Wikipedia page. It has some great information on whitening.
Dental bleaching, also known as tooth whitening, is a common procedure in general dentistry but most especially in the field of cosmetic dentistry. A child's deciduous teeth are generally whiter than the adult teeth that follow. As a person ages the adult teeth often become darker due to changes in the mineral structure of the tooth, as the enamel becomes less porous. Teeth can also become stained by bacterial pigments, foodstuffs and tobacco. Certain antibiotic medications (like tetracycline) can also lead to teeth stains or a reduction in the brilliance of the enamel.Ross Kerr, Tooth Discoloration, WebMD., 2008. http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/1076389-overview
There are many methods to whiten teeth: bleaching strips, bleaching pen, bleaching gel, laser bleaching, and natural bleaching. Traditionally, at-home whitening is done with bleaching gel which is applied to the teeth using thin guard trays. At-home whitening can also be done by applying small strips that go over the front teeth. Oxidizing agents such as hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide are used to lighten the shade of the tooth. The oxidizing agent penetrates the porosities in the rod-like crystal structure of enamel and oxidizes interprismatic stain deposits; over a period of time, the dentin layer, lying underneath the enamel, is also bleached. Laser bleaching uses light energy to accelerate the process of bleaching in a dental office. The effects of bleaching can last for several months, but may vary depending on the lifestyle of the patient. Factors which will decrease whitening include smoking and the ingestion of dark colored liquids like coffee, tea and red wine.
Internal staining of dentin can discolor the teeth from inside out. Internal bleaching can remedy this. If heavy staining or tetracycline damage is present on a patient's teeth, and whitening is ineffective, there are other methods of whitening teeth. Bonding, when a thin coating of composite material is applied to the front of a person's teeth and then cured with a blue light can be performed to mask the staining. A veneer can also mask tooth discoloration.
Hydrogen Peroxide White Teeth
I definitely recommend it!
The humor: We still pay $30 + for a on brand teeth whitening product when we could purchase practically the same product for about $20 to $25 less than that.
Anyway, Hydrogen Peroxide really does a great job at whitening teeth. The video below will give you the lowdown on how to use Hydrogen Peroxide to do just that.
Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda Paste
Mix 'em up to get a whitening paste!
Many people who are looking for some cheap, home whitening products often end up resorting to the Hydrogen Peroxide + Baking Soda tip. This tips works extremely well, but in all honesty, it can taste quite nasty and it can also be pretty harsh if you overuse this method. What you'll Need :
1. Hydrogen Peroxide
2. Baking Soda
3. Cup
4. Toothbrush
5. Water
How to :
1. Pour some hydrogen Peroxide into cup. About two spoon fulls.
2. Pour some baking soda into the same cup. About 1 spoon full.
3. Wet your toothpaste with water and then mix the solution.
4. Now you'll want to gently brush your teeth for two minutes.
Conclusion :
Use this method at least once a day to see a brighter smile in one to two or so weeks. Trust me. This method works and it works extremely well. In my opinion it works just as well as Crest Whitestrips Premium.
Caution :
*Don't brush too hard. This can be bad for your teeth.
*Be careful around your gums. Baking soda is very rough.
*Don't swallow any of the solution. Hydrogen Peroxide can make you sick!
Lemon Juice White Teeth
Don't try it. It ruins your enamel!
