Higher energy costs, Global warming and the state of our planet mean that everyone should seriously worried about all of this, there is something that we can all do to help.
I have a family of 3 and as most families nowadays have a tight budget to survive on. With the current Global financial issues it has meant that I have had to start looking for alternate ways to save my family some money. One of those things is the use of power in our home. Surprisingly it is not that difficult to create enough energy to help out with the electricity bills.
Besides the usual of using low energy light bulbs, turning things off instead of having them on standby etc..
We decided that we would investigate making our own electricity, but most systems for sale seemed way to expensive for us. So I looked around at them and thought about it, then started the search for information on ways to make this more affordable! But the time it takes to find all the information is a real pain!
It has turned out to be great project for everyone in the household regardless of age to work together and study how and why to do it.
The way that people take for granted the energy that is provided for them is a worrying side effect when you think of what the state of the planet will be when our children and Grandchildren grow older. We should not be the generation that will be remembered for knocking the final nail in our planets coffin!
