The Benefits Of Making Your Own Energy

Yes you heard right, it's actuallly possible to make your own home energy these days. There is two very important benefits to this.
1) You will save a lot of money from not having to pay an electricity bill.
2) You will do your part to protect the environment you live in.

There is also two ways to make energy at home. These are:
1) From solar energy
2) From wind energy

Global Warming-Why We Are In Trouble

Global warming refers to an increase of the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere and oceans, a permanent increase in the earth's climate that is irreversable. The earth's temperature is believed to have increased between 0.4 and 0.8 degrees celsius over the last 100 years, and it is predicted that global temperature would have increased between 1.4 and 5.8 degrees by the year 2100.

One of the main causes of of global warming is the increase of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses through the burning of fossil fuels for the production of electricity. The effects of global warming include the rising of the sea level through the melting of polar ice caps as well as the increase in freqency and severity of storms and other destructive weather events.

Nature has been abused by man for a considerable time and slowly but surely the effects are starting to show. Already we have seen an increase in hurricanes that has recenty ripped through the south of America and caused untold destruction. This is just one example of nature's fury and is only a taste of things to come if we don't clean up our act.

Global Warming On Wikipedia

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. Global surface temperature increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F)during the last century. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes that increasing greenhouse gas concentrations resulting from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation are responsible for most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century. The IPCC also concludes that natural phenomena such as solar variation and volcanoes produced most of the warming from pre-industrial times to 1950 and had a small cooling effect afterward. These basic conclusions have been endorsed by more than 45 scientific societies and academies of science, including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries.

Worst Economic Recession Since The Great Depression?

By now most people are aware of the economic recession that is going on, at this point it is really a question of how bad is it? The Great Depression which is charactirzed by the stock market crash of 1929 is the bench mark for economic recessions. This was truly a historical event that drastically affected the lives of millions of Americans.

So when you hear the phrase 'since the great depression', you know it's time to start looking after your hard earned cash. Lets not get too negative though, the economy isn't even officially in recession yet, which is marked by two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth or as "officially" declared by the National Bureau of Economic Research.

So we are not there yet, but if we continue down this disaterous road we might get there all too easily. All we have to do is ignore what the markets have been telling us and move down the same path we have for the last 25 years or so. A sure way to keep moving down this path is to ignore the growing income inequality and govern for the rich at the expense of the many.

As you can see once again it comes down to man's greed and material needs, thinking only in terms of personal gain and ignoring the well-being of nature and his fellow human being, as well as future generations. Once again if man does not change his ways he is in for a long night.

Economic Recession On Wikipedia

In economics, a recession is a general slowdown in economic activity over a sustained period of time, or a business cycle contraction. During recessions, many macroeconomic indicators vary in a similar way. Production as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP), employment, investment spending, capacity utilization, household incomes and business profits all fall during recessions.

Governments usually respond to recessions by adopting expansionary macroeconomic policies, such as increasing money supply, increasing government spending and decreasing taxation.

There Is Still Hope(Untill The Fat Lady Sings)

The average American home spends over $1900 in electricity bills each year. Certainly in these hard economic times every cent counts and there must be a way to reduce the cost of electricity so we have money to spend on other things.

Not only that but most people are aware these days of global warming and the devistating effect it is having on planet earth. When people make use of natural recources for energy, power plants needs to produce less electricity and therefor they emit less harmful gasses into the atmosphere.

What fortune 500 companies do not want you to know though is that 93.9% of energy DOES NOT come from renewable recources, quite a shocking statistic. Western society is driven by the need for material things and it is depleting mother nature in the process.

Today we stare disaster in the face, if we don't do something about the environmental changes that is taking place we may be in danger of extinction as a species. Not only that but we might be entering the worst economic slump in the postwar era.

Having said all this its also true that 'it's not over untill the fat lady sings', and there is much we can do to save the planet, take care of our fellow humans and leave something for future generations. One such way is to produce your own home made energy.

It's not that I disagree with you or your reasons for the lens, but I'm with ruanz3, I'd like to see links and some cited sources for at least the thesis of your lens, if not all statements purporting to report a fact. Other than that i like the multimedia dimension of your lens. I hope you're not done yet.
