Daily Sightings of the Common House Midget

Hi. My name is Bobby, and this is my story about how my wife and I came to discover, know and love what we affectionately call our little "House Midget".

Once thought to be a myth, or legend, the House Midget has survived the ages in relative secrecy. I write this lens now to inform the world of our interesting discoveries of the life and habits of this very real creature.

The Beginning

Every story has a beginning, so I will start with our quest to find a house. After my wife, Angela, and I got married, we found it necessary to begin looking for a place to stay.

Angela and myself

We searched for quite a while, and looked at many possibilities, among which included:

A Beautiful Palace

A Grass Hut

An Over-the-Water-Bungalow... Probably our favorite!

But, after careful consideration, we decided it would be more practical to move into this house:

The One We Chose!

The Big Surprise!

Now, Ang and I have the wonderful pleasure to be able to live in Hawaii. The weather is always great, and the ocean, or the mountains are never very far away.

But, living in Hawaii is not necessarily a vacation every day. There are certain, almost, unavoidable conditions that are fairly common-place in Hawaii homes. Small living spaces, gecko's, lizards, termites, ants, and even cockroaches come pretty standard in most houses here. So, these are some things one comes to expect from living in this tropical paradise.

But, when we moved into our house, what we found was totally unexpected. We quickly discovered that we were not alone! In fact, we were sharing our new house with this:

A House Midget!

The Quest To Discover More About Our Strange New Friend

Despite our initial shock and surprise, we found ourselves strangely interested in this new discovery. We wanted to know everything about this little "house Midget"... lifestyle, habits, etc...

This led me to go online to find out more about this very-moist and strange creature. Apparently, these creatures can be commonly found in households all over the world! I find it odd that Ang and I were not apprised of this seemingly important information. So, caution to new home buyers...you may have a little critter in your dream home! You should definitely ask for any disclosures on the house.

Here are some interesting observations we have had with our encounters with the common House Midget. These should also be things you should consider if you to find yourself living with a little House Midget.

Early Life of the Common House Midget

The Early life of the common house midget is actually not very exciting. In fact, the early life closely resembles the life of their distant cousins- the 3-toed sloth! Can you see the resemblance?

The early stages of this creatures life is spent sleeping and eating. Or, more accurately, 2/3 of the day is spent sleeping, and the rest is spent eating. What a life, huh!?

The Early Life

Eating Habits

Despite the small stature of these interesting creatures, Ang and I found that these guys gain weight at an alarming rate. We found that our house midget can consume its body weight in food a day! This can start becoming quite an expense on your monthly food budget as your House Midget grows.

Mobility

These creatures have many modes of transportation. They are bipedal, but they sometimes like to travel on all fours...when it is convenient of course. They crawl, and roll, but the House Midget's preferred method of travel is to be carried!

And on occasion, you can find our little House Midget riding her giant Honu, Jolene, around! This one was a bit of a shock, but we have gotten used to it.

They Walk Upright

They loved to be carried!

House Midget's Are Messy!

House Midget's are very messy creatures. They like to spread their stuff everywhere. But, it is not just possessions that they spread throughout the house, they also have a bad drooling problem. They are moist most of the time. We seem to think that their drool helps keep their skin so smooth, and soft, but that is just conjecture. However, their drool gets on everything. Furniture, you, the floor.

It can sometimes be a hazard in the sense that if you do not watch where your going, then you could find yourself on the floor, slipping on a nice little present left for you to find.

See how the drool just drips from the chin!

We love our House Midget

Yep, I guess you can say that Ang and I have come to love our little House Midget. She has just become part of the family, and we welcome her. The strange quirks and habits have become normalcy for our home. I would not trade this experience for the world!

Holidays with our House Midget

Our House Midget loves to celebrate the Holidays with us.

Birthday's

I am not sure if our House Midget likes to celebrate the holidays, but she definitely likes the sound of crumpling wrapping paper! That gets her real excited.

Thanksgiving

House Midget's Are Master's Of Disguise!

This is how the House Midget has remained a relative secret throughout the ages.

You may not be able to tell from this Halloween picture, but the Frog you see down below is actually our little House Midget!

And that is not just a random sighting of a reindeer in our house at Christmas either. That is our House Midget too!

These little House Midget creatures are the brightest, most adorable, loveable creatures ever invented...anywhere! They are scarey at first; but do not be afraid. Try one...or ten...you'll be hooked, too. God bless!!!
