How I Lost 15 Pounds Really Fast

Want to lose 15 pounds fast?
Recently I lost a little over 15 lbs -- almost all from reduced body fat -- in less than 3 weeks. I had an important event coming up (a wedding) and I really want to look and feel better before the big day arrived. On this page I'll outline the simple steps I took to lose the weight so quickly. They are steps anyone can use to lose 10, 15, or even 20 pounds of body fat within just a few weeks...
1. Get on a paleo diet and learn to cycle your carbs.
I ate a "paleo-style" diet. That means no processed foods at all. Just foods that can be found in nature: meats, fish and seafood, eggs, vegetables and fruits, nuts, and seeds. No refined sugars or flours. Nothing that comes in a box. Just a simple, healthy diet that keeps your energy levels high and your blood sugar and insulin levels stable.
I ate 5-7 small meals and snacks per day, spaced about 2-3 hours apart. This kept me from getting hungry and eating junk. Since I was avoiding all "bad" carbs I didn't worry too much about calories.
After the first week and a half I started to crave starchy carbs (grains, potatoes, rice, etc.). Luckily, I found a great book that shows you how to cycle your carbs in a way that keeps your metabolism boosted. It's called the Carb Rotation Diet and I highly recommend it!
2. Do short, intense, interval-based workouts.
I did 2-4 short, high-intensity, interval-based workouts per week. They lasted no more than 30 minutes and involved both bodyweight strength training (pushups, squats, etc.) and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). I found that this type of short, intense exercise worked much better and was actually much easier to do than the long, slow, and boring "cardio" exercise I used to do.
Interval-based workouts involve doing short bursts of high-intensity exercise (think very fast running/sprinting or doing a set of pushups) followed by brief periods of "active" recovery (think slow jogging or brisk walking). They work incredibly well for burning body fat because they burn tons of calories and they also create metabolic changes in the body that literally burn fat even while you're sleeping!

3. Take whey and omega-3's.
The only extra supplements I took during this time (other than my normal multivitamin) were whey protein powder and omega-3 fats (in the form of fish oil). The protein was great because it's convenient, tastes great, and helps you recover faster after tough workouts. The omega-3 fats are vitally important for good health. Plus they help to speed up the metabolism!
And that's it! After just 3 weeks of taking the steps outlined above I was able to lose 15 pounds, almost all from reduced body fat. I honestly believe that just about anyone could follow the same steps and experience the same kind of fast and healthy fat loss that I did.
