- This is Apples official iPod page. It also allows you to download it's music sharing program iTunes for free.
On the things that I particularly like about Apples official iPod site is the updates you get on it's hardware.
This is particularly useful if you've only just bought an iPod and don't know what it's functions are - as the functionality is always changing. Plus I find that most shop assistants just don't know what they are talking about - so it's good for peace of mind to get iPod information from the company that made it :-) - iPod On Wikipedia

Of particular note is wikipedias excellent information on the iPods software - which is something that most users don't spend a lot of time thinking about - even though iPod software is something that you should at least have a small understanding of.

Adding linux to your iPod increases the iPods programming capabilities to much more than the firmware that apple sells the iPod with. I find it's great to show to my friends that have iPods without linux because they can only wish their iPod can do what mine does. And remember that iPodLinux is a free open source site!
