Why You Need To Be Thinking Long Term About How To Get Rid Of Spots

Lets just cut to the chase here guys

You have found this page because you want to get information on how to get rid of spots quick - but before you keep going, you need to be aware that there are really no quick fixes, only some ideas that could benefit you a little.

Now before you start shouting at the PC, I want you to think about why you are trying to search out the information right now. Is it because you have a hot date, going out with friends or something similar?

If it is, that's great, but there is a strong chance that you have just had a spot or pimple turn up the morning you are due to go out. If that's the case, then in the next part, you'll find some great information on how to get rid of spots quick.

However, if you have found your way here because you are suffering from spots and acne you really do need to start thinking about dealing with this in a long term manner. Just fighting the odd spot isn't going to help you get rid of spots or acne quick - it's like saying "If I give you a dollar, you can clear off your mortgage." It might help but it's not going to solve the bigger picture.

I understand about spots and acne, I have suffered with it all my life and it's only in the last few years that I have been able to rid myself of them.

There Is No Cure For Acne!

Yes, you heard right. There is NO CURE FOR ACNE OR SPOTS, even with all the technological breakthroughs that we have had in the medical world, there is nothing that will cure you or get rid of your spots quick.

All is not lost though, we can help to get rid of them when we know how to do it. Remember, these are not quick fixes, they take time and effort on your part.

How To Get Rid Of Spots Quick When One Arrives

This is advice for those with one or two spots not long term acne

When you know that you have that special event just around the corner, you can almost bet that a spot is going to show up and cause you problems. When this happens there are some long standing remedies that will help you get rid of spots quick.

Remember, these are not the long term fixes which can be found further down the page - these are emergency measures.

  • Toothpaste Trick

  • Oatmeal Mask

  • Two Day Fix

The Toothpaste Trick

This is a favourite on getting rid of spots quick. But you do need to use caution when trying this one, it is known to dry out the skin and leave a nice red patch on your face.

It's best carried out before you go to bed at night. Clean your face well with soap and water. Splash your face with cold water to close the pores back up and pat dry. Take a pea sized amount of regular toothpaste and apply to the spot or pimple.

In the morning simply wash away the dried on toothpaste and you should see a marked improvement. Use with caution, especially if you have sensitive skin.

The Oatmeal Mask

Again, this is great to do before bed. Clean your face well with soap and water and pat dry. Get a mix of oatmeal and water and gently apply to your face. Rub gently in circular motions and then leave a cake layer on to get rid of spots quick.

Leave on the face for around five minutes before washing off. I have heard people say that they combine the oatmeal mask with the toothpaste trick to get great results overnight.

The Two Day Fix

If you are lucky enough (or unlucky enough) to get a spot a few days before a special event. The best thing to do is to start the two day fix in order to get rid of spots quick.

Start first by drinking lots of water. This is a great way to get your body detoxifying on it's own. Hydrated body leads to hydrated skin and this is a good way to get the balance of your skin right.

- Avoid eating fatty foods at all costs
- Keep your hair pulled away from your face
- Avoid makeup at all costs
- Do NOT squeeze the spot or pimple
- Do not start to over clean

On the first day run a hot bath and keep the door shut. Ensure that you keep a window open so that there is some air coming in. Sit in the bathroom and let the steam work its way into your skin and then once the bath is cooler jump in and place a flannel on your face.

Relax for a good twenty minutes.

Apply the oatmeal mix and leave on for 5/10 minutes. You can use the toothpaste fix if you think your skin is OK with this.

On the second day, continue to drink plenty of water and keep your hair away from your face. Don't wear makeup at all.

Go through the same process as on day one but before bed, apply a small amount of sudocrem. Again, this is not recommended for very sensitive skin as it can dry it out.

In the morning you should notice a real difference to your skin!

Getting Rid Of Spots And Acne - The Long Haul

It's time to get rid of spots and acne for good, it just takes time

When it comes to getting rid of spots and acne it can take time to get the right product that suits your skin and you. Yes, it's not something that is just going to go away on it's own, you will need a product of some kind to do that.

Teenagers who get acne and spots do have an advantage that most of the time it will eventually go when puberty is well under way. There are times (and people) though when waiting isn't an option. No one wants to walk around feeling uncomfortable with themselves.

You can either consult with a dermatologist or GP to get prescription medicine or try one of the hundreds of products that claim to help you get rid of spots and acne.

What works well for one person just won't work for someone else.

This is where it can take time to get it right. You need to give each product you try at least six to eight weeks before you can see any real results. It's not a quick fix unfortunately.

If you are thinking about finding a product that suits you - take a look at my Spot Treatment Review site.

I get spots, mainly on my t-zone. ive been using simple products & sudocrem, i want them to go, but i think we should focus more on just keeping them under control, that way they dont get really bad. i really hate it when people point them out, its liike ''yes, i know i have a huge spot! you dont have to point it out!'' like especially people with clear skin who say shit like, oohhhhh i cant stop staringg at that spot! wen there meant to be yur friends! likke fuck off. they do make me feel uncomfortable with myself, but i think everyone gets spots at some stage in their life, and its better to get them now, than wen were like 19. so all yuu ppl who dont have spots now, your probs get em. :) good luck katie :)

i hate getting spots when i get them i get loads i tend to get them on my forehead most.
i try to cover them with my fringe wich makes it worse , it really gets me down , i have triedvirually every product but all of them dont make a difference to be honest poeple recommend sudocrem its supposed to take swelling and redness down but i have tried it but it didnt do much but every skin type is different so. at the moment i am using skinology products the facial scrub, facial cleanser, and the skinology spot stick havent noticed a difference yet though, it just really gets me down having spots i get uncorfatable whern people point them out to me , i dont think i have acne thought but i get really big red spots that last for ages , im going to try and not let them get me down but it is very hard but i will try and not make it get me down. i will try new things and i will post if anything good comes along thanks for listening xxx
