    Nice lens! I don't do the roof anymore, too hard to put up and take down. I put lights around bushes, etc, but even that took me all day! But I sure love the look of lights on houses. My hat is off to the people who do a great job.

    I actually hang my outside Christmas lights myself. Christmas just doesn't feel the same without them.

    I think if everyone, everyone added one string of lights to a window or a door, and did that each year, we would have a very merry landscape! We have LED lights now only, and they are wonderful...

    I've got to show this lens to my husband. Every year I ask if we can have something a bit different with our outside Christmas lighting. About 20 years ago he put up one strand that across the front of our roof. It stays up 365 and we're still using the same set.
    I've purchased many different sets over the years hoping that he'd switch them out or change it up a bit.
    Maybe looking over your information will give him some ideas. You make it sound very simple and that is what he is looking for.

    I never hang Christmas light but after reading your lens I will try to hang it this year and by the way thanks to give me a thumb for my poor lens. I appreciated so much, I really do.

    I've got to say that I hate helping to hang Christmas lights, but they do look nice when they're up.

    I just hang my lights inside. Our budget is pretty tight, so we have never purchased outdoor lights.
