Making money online is not as difficult as most people think.
Let me explain how to make money online in three easy steps that anyone can follow.

1) Find a hungry marketplace.
First of all think about the areas or niches that interest you. These maybe related your job, or your hobbies. Example might include Golf, Dogs, Woodwork etc. Remember that choosing a very specific narrow niche will make it easier to reach your target audience.
Eg For Golf, how to improve your Golf Swing, or for Dogs - how to train a puppy etc.

Choose one and carry out detailed research online. Visit related websites and join forums. Looks for a problem that people are experiencing or a gap in the market. Try to discover a difficulty that people are looking for the solution to.
If the first one does not seem to provide what your are looking for choose another and repeat until you get a result.

2) Create A Product.
Use your personal knowledge of the niche your have chosen to solve peoples' problems. Create an information products eg an eBook or a series of videos that explains to them clearly what they should do. It isnt as difficult as it sounds and there are many resources available to help you.
If you are creating an ebook then a free tool such as Open Office is ideal and makes it easy to create a good quality PDF file.
For videos your can use a tool such as Camtasia, although you may have to buy the software it is an investment and once you have it you can create unlimited videos.
Make sure you explain everything in detail as you may be marketing to people with much less knowledge than yourself.

Add as much value as you can eg Videos, worksheets etc. You may also think of ideas for related products that you can create later an 'upsell', and also other people's products that you can promote to your customers.
You might even create a membership site which can include many different resources such as videos, download areas, members special offers and a forum. If you charge a monthly fee this will of course give you a recurring income.

3) Sell it to the marketplace.
Setup your website to sell the product - make sure it is professionally done by outsourcing the graphics etc.
If it is an ebook make sure your have a professional cover created.
Depending on your budget you may also want to employ a copy writer for the sales page, but this is likely to be expensive.

You may already be member of forums as part of step 1 which you can use to promote the product eg add a link in your forum signatures.

You should also consider having an affiliate program eg via Clickbank which will allow other people to sell the product for your in exchange for commission.
You are quite likely to find potential affiliates in forums but your can also go out and seek them.

Don't forget to build a customer list using an auto-responder such as aweber as this will provide you with a future income.
