What is Squidoo and How Do I Promote My Lens?

Squidoo is a place for us to share our knowledge and ideas with the world. A place to learn new things and explore our own interests. It is also a place for people to sell products and services, or promote them, and give to charities or make their living. As Janet21's lens workathomewithsquidoo has been at the top of the 100 list for awhile - people are making a living by staying at home and working from the Internet. Many Internet Marketers are learning about Squidoo as a place to promote their own products (or the products of others as in Affiliate Marketing) or to build a mailing list. Some people, like talan, are even giving away FREE courses on how they made money as an Internet Marketer and teaches you to do the same through their lens. Promote Your Lens Through Social Networking

Web 2.0 is the current era of the Internet. Squidoo is Web 2.0. It basically means a user interactive design. Ergo, writing in a blog, your myspace profile, sending Twitter updates, creating a Squidoo lens, connecting through Facebook, uploading to Flickr, posting in forums, etc.

Something all of these websites have in common is the the user base. They each have their own members who are using the same website to share and connect with others. You can use those websites to promote your own lens and get the word out about whatever it is you have to say, sell, or promote.

Now, the first thing that comes to mind is using Social Networking Websites, such as Myspace, Facebook, Bebo, Hi5, Gather, HumanPets, etc.

But what about... Social Bookmarking Websites? Such as Technorati, Digg, Reddit, del.icio.us, Stumble Upon, and Furl?

What about submitting your RSS capable lens to blog directories. Or connecting your blog's RSS to your lens so fresh content is uploaded on your lens each time you update your blog. Here's a hint: Google loves fresh content! ;-)
