A Lens about making the most of the Squidoo publishing platform and other related internet technologies.

It's a sobering fact that 99% of people will never take full advantage of the applications that are available to them. Even more embarrassing, this applies to all kinds of ordinary, everyday opportunities residing outside the realm of computers and the internet.

The more I involve myself in the system, the obvious it becomes that Squidoo was made with people like me in mind. People who have much to say but lack confidence in their ability to say it. People who are full of knowledge, experience and ideas, but don't know where to begin expressing it. What Squidoo is doing is valuable because it gives people a structure within which to organize the relevant details of their chosen subject matter.

My sincere wish is for Squidoo to help people bring their knowledge and insights to the world wide web, adding to our collective resources and generally help people navigate the ever-shifting complexities of Web 2.0.

Here you'll discover my personal methods for conceiving and constructing lenses that move people closer to a resolution or ideal outcome. Included are tips, tricks and ideas pertaining to lens design which can be adapted and molded to fit your unique Lens. They will streamline the task of lens creation, as well as take some of the exhaustion out of conceiving your lenses.

Having the Right Attitude About Lens Building

If your approach Lensbuilding as an excercise in self promotion, you'd be wasting your time. The platform rewards providers of valuable content with increased attention, trust and automatic authority. Lens-Building must be approached with the singular intent to provide valuable information, which can be expressed in the form of Reviews, And you'll notice that all of these ways function to bring people closer to a desired resolution, ideal outcome, or subject about which they are passionate. My promise to you is this: If you are a genuine and provide useful information, business will follow from your efforts.

Becoming More Than A LensMaster

It also occured to me that there is an unexpected, but extremely beneficial byproduct to becoming a LensMaster. Online, there is no ability quite like that of being able to efficiently produce high-quality content for widespread consumption. By actively implementing these frameworks and suggestions into your Lenses you're developing your natural proficiency as a content creator. All manner of content, from your articles to sales letters, from your websites to your press releases, will directly benefit from the practice you put in as a LensMaster.
  1. Your websites will lead people to take a predecided action.
  2. Your articles will become more interesting to read.
  3. Your sales letters will do a more effective selling job.

Putting Squidoo In Context

The web is evolving at an unprecendented rate. There is a separate lense for this subject, so suffice it to say that the things that characterized the web of yesterday are changing or no longer apply.
