The Best $10 You Will Ever Spend!

Being an AVON Representative is very rewarding! Yes it can take a few weeks even a few months to get your business started but it is well worth it once you get it going! Unlike other companies there are no huge startup fees, no quotas, no stock, no parties no boundaries and no meetings that you have to attend. All you will ever have to pay is $10 to start with AVON. That includes your kit, your learning materials and your application!

AVON is a great way to earn money part time or full time. I have created this lens to share information about info that readers may be looking forAVON is one of the best direct sales companies that I have ever worked for. I have my own business and I love it. I only do it part time because I work full time. I didn't even sign up to make a ton of money. I started to have fun and to get my products at a discount!

My mission

I joined AVON to get my products at a discount and have fun. Making a few extra bucks would be a bonus. I was with AVON a year before I started leadership, this is when I really decided to launch my AVON business and get serious.

I created this lens to share my experiences with other women, and men...yes men! To help answer any questions they may have and to help them decide if AVON may be right for them!

How Do You Become an AVON Representative?

Becoming an AVON Representative is very easy!

First, you can sign up online. You have to have a representative code when signing up online to show that you have someone who is willing to train and mentor you. You are welcome to use my code. I would be happy to help you grow your business and start making the income you would like to earn.

To get started selling Avon is to ask your Avon Representative. She would be more then happy to help you get started.

It's that easy. Your representative will assist you in getting signed up, getting online with youravon.com and give you some great tips and ideas to help you get started.

How Much Does It Cost to Be An AVON Representative?

$10....that's it! Yes TEN DOLLARS!

AVON has one of the best startup rates. Unlike other companies that charge you hundreds of dollars to get started AVON doesn't do that. Since you don't need stock, why pay for it to join? AVON is only $10 to join!

This same $10 includes everything! Your kit, your application, your appointment and everything else you may need to get started. That is the best $10 you will ever spend! Say Hello to Tomorrow and Yes to AVON!

Do AVON Representatives Have to Attend Meetings?

No! Meetings are available but you aren't required to attend!

No! You are not required to attend AVON meetings. However, meetings are available to those who would like to attend.

Your District Manager will provide you with all of the dates. Usually most DM's hold a monthly sales meeting and a monthly leadership meeting. These are both very good meetings. They are fun, educational and you will pick up a lot of new ideas!

The meetings do offer alot of support and help you build your business. However you are not required to attend any of them. I would recommend that you go because I know you will enjoy them!

Do You Have to Meet a Sales Quota With AVON?

Nope! No sales quotas with AVON!

One of the best things about AVON is that it is your business and your run it the way YOU want to run it. So, what would your business be if you had someone else telling you how much you had to sell?

AVON has no sales quotas! Sell $5 or $5,000 a campaign. It doesn't matter. AVON knows that it's your business and you should be able to run it how you want to!

AVON doesn't even require that you place an order every campaign. Say you are sick, or going on vacation... The last thing you want to do is worry losing your business. AVON says that as long as you place an order once every 3 campaigns then you are still active. Even if it's only a $5 order. It doesn't matter! AVON lets you run YOUR business the way YOU want to! (Of coarse you will do well and place an order every campaign but for those times when you want a vacation or just need a break...AVON understands.)

Do You Have To Recruit Other Reps?

No! You can get into leadership and earn more money though!

Recruiting other AVON Reps is not a requirement. However, if you do decide to get into leadership you can make some very good money. You will earn a percentage off your downline for 3 generations.

There are 4 levels of leadership: Unit Leader, Advanced Unit Leader, Executive Unit Leader and Senior Executive. You earn up to 12% of your downline sales. This can add up very quickly and become very profitable when you build and develop your unit.

In addition to the earnins you earn off your unit, Avon will also pay you upto $150 for each new representative that joins your team!

Do You Have to Have a Computer to Be an AVON Representative?

No! Though having a computer is helpful it's not required!

AVON has two methods of placing your orders. Online or by mail. Online is the easiest and fasted option but it is not required!

Don't have a computer? What a great reason to join AVON!!! Start AVON even if only part-time and earn the money for a new computer in just a few weeks if not sooner!

Plus AVON has some great prizes including a new laptop!

How Much Do You Make With AVON?

It really depends on you!

There are no limits as to how much you can earn with AVON!

Depending on your sales each campaign, you will fall into a sales level that will determine what percent you will make that campaign. So even if you have a poor campaign this time, next time you can blow it out the water and make a great amount!

Do You Have an Online Store?

Yes!

AVON offer gives you the great opportunity of having an online store! Your customers can chose to have direct delivery and AVON will ship it to them or personal delivery and you can deliver it. This is great for those reps that have family members out of the area!

    I'm new to squidoo....I started a 'lens' then got nervous about violating Avon Use rules and put in a call to my district manager.....don't think I'm 'dumb' I'm just over think everything.....Since you have this 'lens' it's ok for me to have one too?     Many years ago when my daughter was a baby and we were in bad straights, I was an Avon Lady. We had to go door to door knocking and selling our wares with samples that we had to buy.

    They have come a long way baby.

    I have been selling Avon for 3 years and love it. I have a great customer base and a downline of over 20 reps. I train my team on how to make money with Avon. I encourage them to attend the meetings and talk to everyone that they meet. Want to join my team?

    The Avon appointment kits are updated periodically, but in general include a basic guide to getting started, along with any flyers or information specific to the local District in your area, and enough brochures for your first 2 Campaigns. (A campaign is a 2 week selling period.

    I am meeting with a DM today to get started. My cousin sells & she said it is $7.50/mo to have an online site, but she believes they waive the fee if you make at least 1 sell per month. You are still selling in person if you want, but you do not have to. The items are shipped directly to the customer, I have ordered online several times, they always have coupons for free shipping on there too. I think if people do not set up a website you can still get credited for the sales, because they ask for your reps phone number on the regular avon site & I always put my cousin's number. You could maybe do that?!? Hope that helped out somewhat.

    Thanks for the information, my friend just started marykay and i was thinking about joining but i was hesitant because of the $100 start up fee and all the parties but now knowing that avon is only $10 and there are no parties i am very interested and i think i will go in this direction.. marykay is too expensive....     Question: Can I set up my business so I ONLY do online sales that are delivered directly to customers? I have a very demanding full time job (~60 hrs) so I would be unable to deliver orders myself. I want to join to get discounts on the products I use regularly but would also like the option to sell. That said, I don't want to have someone place an order online for in person delivery. If you could let me know that would be great. Thanks!

    When you sign up for eRepr (to have your own Avon website) you will be able to persionalize the options available to your customers. So you would be able to only offer the direct delivery option if you chose. Just one bit of advice, as convenient as these websites are, you still have to invest the time promoting your site and Avon business. Avon provides free training once you join, and included in the courses are 3 specifically on eRepresentative - the basic course on "how to", a course on managing your customer lists, and another on marketing/promoting your eRepr site.

    Thanx so much for the info. It has really helped me make my final decision. I never thought it would cost so little to start my own business -- something I've always wanted to do, by the way. I sold Mary Kay a while ago and I hated doing the parties because they tend to be in the evenings and weekends -- that's family time. This sounds perfect! I appreciate you being so upfront....

    I have searched all over for info on how much it costs to get started, and you answered that question for me right away. What a pleasant surprise to find it only costs $10 to get started! I sell Scentsy Wickless Candles, and that was a $100 start up fee. Thanks so much! I am really excited to join Avon now!

    thanks you for the great insight on becoming an Avon Representative. My Husband recently fell ill (he's alright now and back to a healthy life) and it really was a wake up call for me. I had to ask myself if anything should happen to my Husband am I really able to step up and take over managing the household financially??? At that moment i realized that I had to do something, just in case...so I've researched Mary Kay and that seems nice but the $100 set up fee and the inventory necessary to start up seems to be a gamble. I am happy to see the $10 start up fee and once I feel out my market I am able to pre-order products oppose to the initial investment of a minimum of$700. Thanks for saving me :-) !!!
