Making candles is easy and fun. There are several candle-making packs available that will supply all you need. Some get better reviews than others and I've tried to include some observations to help you make your choice.
Some people try to make it all sound difficult, but not so... to get started, watch this excellent video for beginners.

It includes all you need really except the pot to heat the water in - that's explained in the video above - and a few little things like popsicle sticks and a hairdryer that you will already have. You can use any saucepan or pot, you arn't going to be putting the wax directly into it. The pack also includes a thermometer which is handy.

Adding a scent or fragrance to your candle is also easy but you should make sure the oil you use is suitable for using in candles. You can use pure essential oils but don't use massage oils - they contain a carrier which won't work.The video below is really useful.

This kit comes with wax and wicks, instruction leaflet and a DVD. There is also scent and dye included as well as containers to put your candle in. It doesn't ahve a pouring pot but you can use the foil or in the US aluminium loaftin-type trays you get to freeze food. Just put that in a shallow pan of water. You will also need a thermometer.
