How Public Speaking Can Double Your Income
Public speaking is one of the most powerful skills you can learn and develop. It can increase your confidence, improve your ability to communicate effectively both on and off stage, increase your network of contacts, and propel your business.
Most importantly, however, if done right, it can double your income in less than a year, giving you the resources to live your best life while helping others along the way.
This is NOT a place to learn "how to become a better public speaker" (for that, I highly recommend Toastmasters).
Instead, this IS a place to learn how to MAXIMIZE YOUR POTENTIAL in the realm of public speaking and get you on the path to doubling your income within 7 months.
7 Ways Public Speaking Can Double Your Income
Public speaking can dramatically increase your income, but perhaps not in the way that you're thinking. Speaking fees are what many speakers focus on, but that is only one SMALL part of the overall income potential.
Here are seven other, much BETTER ways that public speaking can double your income (in as little as 7 months):
# 1
On-The-Fly Product Creation
EVERY public speaking engagement becomes an opportunity to record (audio and/or video), transcribe, and create an information product that you can now sell (or give away as a bonus or lead generation tool).
You are building more content with every new speech you give. The more topics you speak about, the more products you can automatically create. When you learn how to make your knowledge sell, your presentations will turn into books, e-books, special reports, CDs, videos, podcasts, MP3s, and so on.
# 2
Supply and Demand
Because public speaking generally makes you the de facto 'guru' on your topic (at least in that room), your audience is FILLED with people who want your services and products.
You'll have more potential opportunities than you'll know what to do with, so you can choose the cream of the crop from potential clients and even raise your prices over lesser-known 'competitors'.
# 3
Networking on STEROIDS
When you speak publicly in front of an audience, other 'gurus' and high-powered business people in that audience want to get to know you.
Even those NOT in your audience (people you meet ouside the room and in everyday life) will want to get to know you when they know what you do.
By developing those relationships and million-dollar networking skills, money-making opportunities will come flying at you left and right.
# 4
Makes You Bring Your "A" Game
When you're doing your public speaking in front of large crowds, you have to know your stuff or you'll get embarrassed by questions from the audience.
By doing your homework for a speech, you are honing your craft, increasing your skills and knowledge base, and making yourself more marketable (and "expensive").
# 5
Discover The "Gold" In Your Audience
You'll never know EVERYTHING about a topic (although hopefully you'll know more than MOST people in your audience).
By encouraging feedback during and after your speeches, you'll learn things from your audience members that you might never have learned otherwise.
As a 'leader' in that room, you now have access to the wisdom and experience of large groups that can help you hone and improve your overall business. You may also end up discovering some business opportunities with your audience members.
# 6
Your Speeches Are Easily Converted Into Traffic And Lead Generators
The presentations you give during your public speaking career can easily be transcribed into blogs and articles. You can submit the articles to other websites to generate traffic for your own site, or use them to contribute a column to a local paper, perhaps even for a regular column.
Your audio recordings can be turned into podcasts, and your videos can turn into short clips posted on YouTube, both of which will generate more traffic for your site.
You can also post the articles, blog entries, podcasts, and video on your own website, for increasing the content of your site, getting placed in search engines, and increasing your credibility.
Each of those outlets gives you more exposure, which leads to more bookings and more product sales with a MINIMAL amount of extra work.
# 7
One Speech = Multiple Income Streams
Besides turning your speeches into information products, you can turn them into articles or blog topics on your website as discussed above, which you can then MONETIZE by using automatic income streams such as AdSense, affiliate programs, and your own downloadable information products.
Turning your public speaking opportunities into an automated information marketing system is how you make money in your sleep!
