Pay Per Click Help - Beating AdWords Reviews

This is a review of three products that provide the pay per click help you may have been looking for. These products can be found on Clickbank.com - all dealing specifically with pay per click and making profits from your own campaigns.

Its not just about Google AdWords, not just about Yahoo! Search Marketing, nor Microsoft adCenter. But it is about building your knowledge until you are proficient enough to actually get some profitable pay per click campaigns up and running!

Without the knowledge I suggest you forget it for now, at least until you have read my review and considered things further.

The products I have chosen to review are:

1. Beating AdWords by Kyle and Carson of Wealthy Affiliate fame and fortune

2. Google Profits by Wade Winger

3. Google Money Pro 2 by Steven Holdaway

Please follow along as I discuss each information product because if you are serious about pay per click then you are serious about making profits. If you are serious about making profits then you will benefit from this review!

Info about pay per click and using this method to earn earn earn

Pay per click (PPC) is an Internet advertising model used on search engines, advertising networks, and content sites, such as blogs, in which advertisers pay their host only when their ad is clicked. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on...

Beating AdWords

Beating AdWords is written by Kyle and Carson of Wealthy Affiliate fame, an excellent website resource for affiliates.

Very nicely laid out and written in plain, simple English and 105 pages long.

Like all three products reviewed here, Beating AdWords takes the reader through the set up of a Google AdWords account, step by step. If you have not done this before yourself, Google makes it simple for you anyhow.

Clickbank is briefly covered - where and how to find a product to promote in your AdWords campaign.

Then on to making up your AdWords campaign and ad groups, quality score and landing pages - gaining relevancy by using a good keyword strategy, thereby reducing your pay-per-click costs.

They also talk about how to monitor your competitors. Within their Wealthy Affiliate website there is a neat tool you can use to do this - I have tried it out and its apparently a good way to cut down a fair bit of extra work.

All in all Kyle and Carson have done a fine job in creating this information product. There are in my opinion a few things that could have been at least touched upon. And maybe a mention of some more of Google's excellent free tools that are out there to help their AdWords customers.

There are however a number of tricks of the trade they do elaborate upon and this is very helpful.

Beating AdWords is a reasonably thorough and very clearly written guide and is very much geared towards the novice. At $67 its affordable and I do recommend it for anyone just starting out, but you will have to make further purchases of more advanced information guides to increase your knowledge further.

Please also check out the Wealthy Affiliate website. If you want to go into much more depth regarding AdWords or general affiliate marketing then this site comes highly recommended! Oh, and there is a section on optimizing Squidoo too, and lots of talk about Squidoo on the website forum!

Google Profits

Google Profits by Wade Winger is fairly short and sweet and to the point at 69 pages long. You can have the basic product very cheaply at $19.95, which is fine for a general basic knowledge pay per click help info product if you are just starting out.

Or you can have an upgrade, which includes a 108 minute interview with Rosalind Gardner (who wrote The Super Affiliate Handbook: How I Made $436,797 in One Year Selling Other People's Stuff Online and works together with Jim Edwards on The Affiliate Business Blueprint) (of affiliate marketing fame) and another 104 minute interview with Willie Crawford. This makes the total $29.95, which is still good value at an extra $10 on top of the initial purchase. In honesty I have not listened to the interviews yet so cannot comment on these.

Then there is a further upgrade on offer, which consists of a package of eBooks, which in general are fairly relevant to information products you may benefit from when starting a pay-per-click campaign. This sells for a further $39.95 if I am not mistaken. I did not actually purchase this last option as I already have a number of the eBooks sitting on my desktop (you can imagine how cluttered my desktop is!).

To cut a long story short Google Profits touches on most of the same things that Beating AdWords does. It does not go into quite the same amount of detail however, so I could not help but wonder how could I really make a successful pay per click campaign when quite a bit of important information and tips and tricks were not included.

Nevertheless, its a decent product if you wish to get a quick insight into the workings of Google AdWords and setting up a pay per click campaign with Google (or MSN adCenter or Yahoo! Search Marketing).

And one very nice touch was that the author included an actual daily over-view of one of his campaigns. This made me want to get stuck in, which is precisely why you would buy Google Profits in the first place!

As a side note, I gotta say that Wade - the author - is very active with his follow up emails. And no, they are not all auto-responder emails either. For example, I got one not long after purchasing the product (a bit out of date now, but still proves the point!) just before adding this to give reasons why"not to purchase John Reeses' Traffic Secrets 2.0", which is rather a nice change from the usual "why to buy it and buy it as my affiliate" sort of email.

Its good to know that the person behind the product (Google Profits) you are considering purchasing does actually care about his/her customers and its not just about making money at the customer's expense in every way possible!

Google Money Pro 2

Google Money Pro 2 by Steven Holdaway for me is the one to be beaten! Its got it all pretty much!

Touches on all the subject matter the other two products discuss but at much more length and detail. In addition, throughout the whole eBook there are links to high quality videos showing you how to go about a particular aspect of your own campaign, which I thought was excellent.

One of the free bonuses is your own "money making websites". From there you have lots of choices about which products you want to utilize in your own pay per click campaign. This website however is perhaps not so good for using in a pay per click campaign. Because its not fresh content, if you were to use it with Google AdWords, your quality score would suffer and you would therefore end up paying more for your campaign keywords.

The other bonus is access to an online forum for pay per click users. Its a busy community, which at the time of writing has almost 3000 members and covers all sorts of topics, which include Google AdWords, Microsoft adCenter and also Yahoo! Search Marketing. The forum is free to join but to use all the functions including some useful keyword lists, in what is termed the Data Center, it costs $14.95 a month.

Quality score is discussed in particular detail - the Google algorithm used to attain it and how to change your own web pages to ascertain lower pay per click fees, along with your advert and the best wording techniques.

If you don't have your own web pages then Steven Holdaway tells you what to look for in affiliate program web pages you want to promote and use as your own landing pages.

At 180 pages long Google Money Pro 2 is a lengthy document indeed, but unlike a number of the eBooks I have read about internet marketing (and I have read a lot) there is no fluff padding at all. Its all useful information in detail.

If you are a beginner you will probably feel over-whelmed by all the information - I did. But on the other hand, if you don't rush through it to get your campaign up and running but rather work through it step by step, then Google Money Pro 2, in my opinion, will provide you with lots of useful information about the workings of a pay per click campaign.

Its not cheap at $97.98 but if you want a very thorough and detailed analysis of Google AdWords and pay per click in general then this is money very well spent!
