3. The games disc is mostly made of a polymer material that is sensitive to water and other moisture. So any prolonged exposure to moisture resulting from a spill, humid air, or immersion will allow water to become absorbed into the disc, where it may react with the layers. If this happens you can dry out the disk and it may play normally again, but if the moisture contained contaminants such as dyes or other dissolved minerals these contaminants may remain in the disk resulting in disk errors.

4. Do not put disks down on surfaces that might scratch them, or where they might get damaged.

5. Always put the disk back in its packaging when not in use and put it some where safe.
