There are Many Cheap Ways to Play with Your Cat
After a little while we realized that buying cat toys was an expensive endeavor. I found that I could find other ways to provide the cat with toys for him to play with. I could build them from free junk around the house.

Cats are very interesting to watch. Lucky likes to see what he can get into. Several times a week, he climbs up into the entertainment center and tries to find a way to get on top. He has yet to find a way. I am thinking about giving him some kind of ladder that will let him climb up on top of the entertainment center. I think that is somewhere he would love to spend his time. We will see.

The other day we had some Rubbermaid containers out in the living room. We were going through them and getting rid of stuff that we really didn't need any more and putting away everything else that we though we did need. Needless to say, Lucky had a ball jumping into these containers and inspecting every inch of them.

This week, I decided to make lucky a disposable box. Something he could play with, tear up and destroy. Then we could throw it out before we have company again. I took a box that I got from Walmart, originally going to be used for ebay stuff. I sealed both sides with packing tape, and then cut out a hole just big enough for Lucky to get into. I also added several small holes in the side for us to play with him through.

Within 20 minutes of building this thing, Lucky was already inside, and my daughter was teasing him with his toys from the small holes on the sides. This morning after everyone left for the day, I was in the kitchen , making something for my lunch. Lucky darted through the house right into the box, pushing it about 5 feet across the living room. This cat is nuts, but hey we love him.
