Speaking of carbs, here's a trick I learned from a Tai Chi teacher (who was a Chinese Doctor). His method to lose 20 pounds in one month was to reduce or eliminate starch if his meal was mostly protein. He said that protein and starch use two completely different enzymes for digestion. So the mouth feels starch and sort of slows down the protein enzymes. So the meat doesn't get fully digested-yuck. He said if you want to lose 20 pounds in one month, it's fine to have bread with a little bit of butter (fat) on your bread (starch) just pass on the bologna (protein).

Byrne spoke of the worrying problem of obesity and growing rates of overweight among children, as confirmed by recent research. He also discussed the proposed regulations on health claims as a means of ensuring better food choices of European consumers.
"Improving public health is a shared responsibility of the EU institutions, Member States and stakeholders. We also need to make sure that those consumers who want to make healthy food choices are given correct information through proper labelling and that they are not confused or misled by claims alleging certain health or nutritional benefits of the foods they buy."
The Commissioner was clearly referring to recent reports commissioned by food agencies showing that many health claims do little but confuse consumers. Health claims and nutrition labelling has recently been identified as a priority measure to be followed up by the Commission.
"I favour the approach of science-based validation of food claims to ensure that every claim can be properly justified," said Byrne.
Health claims should, according to the Commissioner, describe the role of a nutrient, or other substance, based on long-established and non-controversial science.
"'Calcium is an essential nutrient for the development of healthy teeth and bones', for example. Or 'fibre helps intestinal function'. We would plan to draw up a list of 'permitted claims' within three years of the entry into force of the Regulation," he said. Other health claims signalling a reduction of the risk of disease, such as 'Whole grain may help keep your heart healthy', would always require scientific evaluation and pre-marketing approval.
He added that health claims should be supplemented by a general statement indicating the importance of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
Byrne's final proposal will also govern the use of nutrition claims by providing a list of authorised claims together with specific conditions for their use. This will ensure that nutrition claims such as 'low-fat'or 'sugar-free' are made according to specific criteria.
And claims that are misleading due to the way they are expressed, for example '90 per cent fat-fre

Never start exercise with too much stress, do it in a relaxed mood and environment. Exercise outdoors if you can and enjoy the nature. Listen to your favorite music, and enjoy while you exercise. Lose 10 Pounds In 3 Days
The 3 Day Diet
I suppose if you were in the military or the police department you might have a real need to lose weight fast. For anyone else, you might want to consider doing it a little slower.
Alright, here is the three day diet:
On day one eat only a half of a grapefruit and a slice of toast covered with twp tablespoons of peanut butter. You can also have a cup of black coffee or tea. For lunch, grab a half a can of tuna and again a slice of toast with coffee or tea. For supper splurge on three ounces of any meat, a cup if green beans, half of a banana and a small apple. For dessert you can reward yourself with a cup of vanilla ice cream.
For day two start your day with an egg, a slice of dry toast and a half of a banana. At lunch you get a cup of cottage cheese and a hard boiled egg with 5 saltine crackers. At the end of the second day sit down to two frankfurters (but NO buns), and a medley of a half cup broccoli and half a cup of carrots. This time reduce the vanilla ice cream to only a half cup.
For your third and final day of your effort to lose belly fat have five saltine crackers with a slice of cheddar cheese and a small apple. At noon you can pig out on a hard boiled egg and the ubiquitous slice of toast. Your final meal for your lose 10 pounds in 3 days diet is a FULL can of tuna (whoo-hoo!), a half a banana, and a full cup of vanilla ice cream.
In that this diet work on chemical breakdowns you must not substitute ANYTHING in the diet. You can use salt and pepper but please don't use any other seasoning. And make certain you only use it for three day stretches. If you need to lose more weight eat normally for four more days, then go back on the three day diet. Note that coffee and tea are used for the first two meals on the first day only. After the first day, drink only fresh water. And don't snack between meals!
