Ranked #10,880 in Sports & Recreation, #261,991 overall
Do You Want To Know The Secrets To Winning A Fantasy Football League?
Do you love fantasy football? Do you want to know how to win your fantasy football league this year? Millions of Americans are going to play fantasy football this year. Most of them are going to be average, and a whole bunch of them are absolutely going to stink at it. So why should you listen to me? Because I won 28 fantasy football leagues in one year alone. Yes, that is true. If you can find someone who won more fantasy football leagues than that, go listen to them. I am going to give you 5 key principles that will bring you tremendous success in fantasy football this year IF you choose to follow them.
#1) Do Whatever You Can To Get The Top Stars On The Top Offenses
I know. This sounds too obvious. But it does not diminish the truth of it.
For example, if you had LT when he broke the single season touchdown record or Tom Brady when he passed for 50 touchdowns there is a good chance that you won your league.
You win fantasy football with dominant players. Do whatever you can to draft them. If you can't draft them, do whatever you can to trade for them.
A lot of fantasy footballers overthink things. In fantasy football, even a moron is going to make the playoffs is that moron has these two players.
Now, you can still win your league without dominant players, but it won't be nearly as easy.

#2) Make Sure That You Have Plenty Of Running Backs
I have never been in a league where I felt that I had too many quality running backs.
Running backs are at a premium in fantasy football. Even if you get a couple, keep in mind that running backs get hurt A LOT, they share carries, they have bye weeks, etc. etc.
So make sure that you have a bunch of quality backs. You can never have enough good ones. If you only draft one good back and think you can "improvise" later on you are fooling yourself.

#3) Don't Let ALL The Elite Tight Ends Slide By You On Draft Day
DO NOT ignore the tight end position. Usually the winner of a league will have an elite tight end.
On draft day, usually there are 4-6 elite tight ends, and after that there is usually a huge drop off in production. Figure out where that drop off is and pounce on a TE before all the elite ones are gone.
The difference between having an elite TE and an "average" TE is usually HUGE. Huge differences win leagues. Don't forget that.

#4) Avoid Aging Players And Injury Prone Players
Avoid players that are on the downside of their careers.
For example, you should be very hesitant to draft any runningback 30 years of age or older.
Also, I always tend to shy away from players that are known to be injury prone. When one of your top players goes down with an injury, it can ruin your season. At one point a couple years ago, I had so many players with the last name of "Johnson" injured and sitting on my bench that I just about wanted to cry.
But I didn't cry. I sucked it up and I won my leagues.
But learn the lesson. Stay away from old players and players with a history of injury.

#5) Try To Get Emerging Players In Their 2nd-4th Seasons
These are the hidden gems that can put you over the top.
A lot of fantasy footballers get infatuated with rookies, and aside from a hot runningback once in a while, usually rookies are pretty worthless their first year.
What you are looking for are players in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th season who are just starting to emerge as stars. Often you can get them at a bargain spot in the draft and they can end up being big producers for you.

Great tips! I however am a WR first kinda gal. Too many RBs split time and a few great receivers can more than make up for lower ranked RBs!
Give me a break - I think these tips stink!
