Getting to page1 of Google for your chosen term really isn't very tough at all. How To Get On The First Page Of Google with a meaningful, monetizable keyword can have it's challenges. But with recent changes in the internet it has become increasingly easy to rank on googlepage1.

ONE key to first page rankings is to use both long-tail keywords/phrases and certain specific Web 2.0 sites/properties. That's by no means the only way to increase your chances of landing on googlepage1. But it is a way that has been demonstrated to work nevertheless.

I'm going to offer more about which sites in coming posts, along with simple methods you can use to choose meaningful/monetizable long-tail keywords/phrases.

After creating this Squidoo Lens, and blogging about it, and pinging my blog feed, I'm now on the second page of Google.

I'm #19 today out of 42,900,000 for the term, 'How to get on the first page of Google' without quotes.

Not too bad given that's the only thing I've done huh!

I also noticed with quotes around the terms that on Page 1 I'm at #3, #4, #7, #8, #9 out of 3,730 total.

Well, I'm going to try 1 or 2 more things tonight and I'll report back here in a couple of days

Hmmm... Seems like this is going to be a little tougher that I first thought. It seems like the phrase I chose was well entrenched. I didn't do much research before choosing it. I just chose it on a whim. That should be a lesson to us.

Let's just examine where we are after yesterday. Yesterday I noticed that the couple of results I had appearing in Google had moved up to #14 from #19. Then all of a sudden were no where to be seen.

Today two are back on the second page of google, 1 at #11 and the other at #14. These were both as a result of the submissions yesterday. So there is no telling for sure where things will settle.

These listings are being done with no quotes, against 40,900,000 results.

If I place quotes around the term, the results today are Page 1 - #2, #4, #6, #7, #8 and on Page 2 - #12, #13 out of 3,730 total.

I'll keep reporting as I make little changes.

When I made a few more changes this morning and checked back this evening. I watched the Patriots game this afternoon and I'm watching GreenBay and the Giants now. The score is GB 10, NYG 6. I just did a search for the term: How To Get On The First Page Of Google without quotes and it seems like I'm on the

Page #1 in positions #7 and #10 of about 38,600,000
Page #2 in positions #18 and #19 of about 38,600,000
Page #3 in positions #23 and #27 of about 38,600,000

I didn't check any further.

For the quoted term, I'm in the following positions:

Page #1 in positions #2, #4, #5, #6, #8, #9, #10 of about 3,810
Page #2 in positions #11, #12, #16, #20 of about 3,810

So in a day or so I'll outline in more detail the exact things I did and upload screen captures for backup.
