How to draw 'Yabba Rat'
Welcome all to my 'How to draw Yabba Rat' lense.
All you need is a pencil / pen and a sheet of paper
Oh and a little imagination.
So scroll down the page and in no time at all i'll have
you drawing 'Yabba Rat'!
Enjoy !!
Let me show you how to draw our Yabba Rat
Grab a pencil and have a go at that
Stage 1
First of all draw a circle. To the bottom left of this circle draw an 'M' shape.
Slightly behind the first circle and to one side ( and behind the 'M' shape draw another circle).
In the centre of the larger circles draw 2 smaller circles.
and In the centre of each of these smaller circles place a dot.
Draw in the top and bottom eye-lids.
Stage 2
In each of the small circles draw lines from the dot in the middle to the edge ( this gives the eyes their sparkle ).Attached to the original 'm' draw another 'm' Shape.
Draw a circle (for Yabba's nose), Colour in using your pencil, just remember to leave a small white circle (to show the light reflecting).
starting from the underside of the nose draw a sweeping line back up towards the eyes ( see picture 2 ).
Stage 3
From the end of the sweeping line (under the eyes ) draw in yabba's mouth by drawing in a 'U' shape, back and towards the nose.Inside the mouth draw in a 'love heart' shape for the tongue.
Colour the inside of the mouth black ( but not the tongue ).
To the right of the mouth draw in a half circle and add shading, also shade the eyes and add in the small circles on yabba's nose ( see picture 3 for details ).
Stage 4
Above each eye draw in a curved eyebrows ( wide in the middle to a point at each end ) See picture 4.Next draw Yabba's ears and the top of his head, do this by starting just above and to the left of his left eye, use a small flicking motion to create the effect of tufts of hair, ( see picture 4 to help you to do this ).
After drawing the ears and head, draw the insides of his ears, again use the flicking motion ( follow the shape of the outside of his ears to do this ).
Stage 5
From the bottom left hand side of Yabba's left ear start to draw in his furry face, do this by drawing spikes out to the left side ( see picture 5 ) continue to do this until you reach the last arch before his round black nose.Start with the spikes again under his nose and come around under his mouth and past his cheek ( again see picture 5 for help ) stop when you get directly under his cheek.
Starting from just under Yabba's right ear draw the spikes again but this time draw out to the right of his face, join these up under his cheek.
Look at picture 5 again and you will notice that just to the left of Yabba's mouth you need to draw a curved line to form his chin ( this curves down and to the right ), followed by one more smaller curve, which should sit just about under his mouth.
Using the same spiking method as before draw the inner fur from Yabba's right eye, past his cheek and join at his chin.
Finish this stage by randomly drawing individual spikes to show the fur around Yabba's face.
Stage 6
Take a quick look at picture 6, you will see that again we draw spikes to make up yabba's furry tummy.start by drawing spikes out and to the left from about the third spike in from the face spikes close to Yabba's nose, draw them curving outwards.
Ounce you have drawn about three or four spikes start to curve inwards ( see picture 6 ) continue to do the spikes until you have formed a semi circle.
Draw in Yabba's tummy ( from one edge of the spikes to the other ).
In the centre of his tummy, draw in his tummy button, this looks like a back to front six ( see picture 6 ).
Stage 7
Lets draw Yabba's Left arm next, starting from the top of Yabba's tummy again draw spikes for his furry arm, draw these out to the left ( see picture 7 ), use the same style for his wrist ( stop when you have finished his wrist ).Draw the other side of his arm from his face ( just under his nose ) again using spikes all the way up to his wrist.
To draw Yabba's hand, start at the top right hand corner, draw in the edge of his hand followed by three fingers, next draw an 'L' shape ( but the other way around ) from the base of the last finger and curve it round to form the thumb, finish by linking the thumb to the wrist.
Draw in a finger nail on the thumb and fingers and some knuckle lines ( see picture 7 for details ).
Again add in the individual spikes to make up the fur on his arm.
Stage 8
Starting just to the bottom right hand side of Yabba's head again use the spikey design to draw his right arm, draw out to the point of his elbow and swing it in to where his wrist begins.Draw the other side of his arm starting where his arm pit begins ( see picture 8 ), again swing it in to the elbow and down to join the wrist.
To draw his hand ( begin at the left side of his wrist ) curve a line down and to the right, then curve up and around to make his fingers, ( Again see the picture for help ).
Starting at the side of Yabba's hand draw in the bottom of his body and link it up to his tummy ( Again using the spiking method ).
Stage 9
Almost there now.Starting from just under yabba's tummy area draw in his legs, again using the same spikey effects ( see picture 9 ) don't forget to add in the single spikes to make up yabba's fur.
to make yabbas feet start from the inner part of his legs, curve a line round and under to make the curve of each foot.
Now draw in each toe, for the little toe draw a semi-circle up and around, for each of the other toes do the same, but draw each one slightly bigger and to one side of the little toe ( see picture 9 for help ).
Draw in Yabba's toe nails and toe knuckle lines.
Stage 10
Write in your characters name ! Stage 11
Finally sign your initials at the bottom. And you have your very own 'Yabba Rat'
Well done !!!
