Hrithik wins at the inaugural India Youth Icon Awards

Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra were named youth icons in the entertainment field, whilst Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi was named the Icon of the year at the inaugural edition of the India Youth Icon Awards.

Hrithik edged past actor-director Farhan Akhtar while Priyanka beat actress Katrina Kaif to bag the top spot.

The awards, organised jointly by Wizcraft Entertainment and electronics major Videocon, are aimed to recognise and reward individual excellence and exemplary achievement in the genres of business, sports, entertainment, media, social welfare and justice and technology.

The Bollywood heart throb actor known for his female fan following is equally known for his several dance numbers he has given to Bollywood. He was keeping his quite for the past three years due to his knee injury. Hrithik Roshan set the stage on fire at the Rajiv Gandhi Awards ceremony in Mumbai.

The actor didn't do his typical mind-boggling western dance moves, but this time to thrill, he performed a series of folk dances. His act 'Colours Of India' at the event's finale was a tribute to Indian dance and art forms.

Hrithik Roshan has been signed as the brand ambassador by Reliance Communications.

Hrithik is the official face for the company's mobile, data and DTH businesses. His new promotional campaign for the products was shot in Bangkok and this new campaign is began airing in June 2009.
