I see a lot of older women with this posture. Looks like a great product.

This can happen as we get older and are not aware of our posture.

Good information on this lens. I straightened up my posture and tried the neck exercises recommended and felt instant improvement in my overall well-being. Thanks! I sleep with a portable lumbar/neck icing pillow

I am a tall person and I know what it means to slouch. Best way to counteract is by lifting your head up high, push your chest forward and have your eyesight to 40 meters in front of you. Give it a try.
  • Arc4life Jul 23, 2011 @ 6:50 am | delete
Hi Minarvente, thank you for posting a comment. You are right, tall people do sometimes have round shoulders which can lead to bad posture. Best thing to do, is stick one's chest out, just like you said !

I see older people with this problem. Thanks for the tips to avoid it.
  • Arc4life Jul 23, 2011 @ 6:53 am | delete
Yes, it is very easy for an older person to adopt this posture- this is the worst time to have bad posture because it cannot be easily corrected (especially with a sedentary lifestyle). Best to be active and stand up straight !

Great information! being on the computer has aggravated the problem...constantly reminding myself to straighten up...may be too late!
  • Arc4life Apr 16, 2011 @ 7:10 am | delete
Never to late to fix your posture. Yes, it will take time but its never to late to start. You will have less pain, breathe better, and be able to work for longer periods of time. Once you start sitting up straighter and doing it consistently, your body will do it automatically. The first step is to recognise that your posture needs correcting. Thank you for commenting.

I have an insanely bad habit of slouching. I'm at a desk a lot so it is so easy to do.
  • tembrooke Oct 22, 2010 @ 9:18 pm | delete
I will hunch over the desk when I'm tired or stressed... I constantly need to remind myself to sit up straighter.
