Hydroponics: What is it?
Hydroponics is a method of growing plants by using a nutrient water solution instead of dirt/soil. The plant roots dangle freely in the water solution absorbing nutrients easily causing the plants to grow faster & produce a higher yield.
Top Reasons to do Hydroponics over traditional gardening:
1. Plants grow faster & produce a higher yield.
2. No bugs = No pesticides; since it is off the ground, pests are stopped. (However, it did not stop birds)
3. Soil diseases are eliminated since there is no soil
4. Weeds are eliminated.
5. Hydroponics gives plants more nutrition while using less energy and space.
6. Over and under watering is prevented.
