I Spy Bags

Last year I was fortunate enough to stumble across Those Greathouse Women's shop on Etsy. I immediately knew they had an amazing idea. I ordered I Spy Bags for my 3 youngest children and was just blown away by how "great" they really were. My kids play with them constantly, they're perfect for keeping them occupied in the car, they're quiet, extrememly durable (any toy that can survive MY kids gets an automatic A+), engaging, and have helped my dyslexic son with his fine motor skills.

My 3-year-old daughter and I have been playing so much with them lately, I ordered a second bag for her to tuck in her Christmas stocking this year. She and I have created our own made-up treasure hunts with them too - since she can't read yet - she and I take turns finding items and then shaking up the bag for the other to find next. Her vocabulary has expanded too - with new words like cork, hydrant, sequin, spool, and globe.

A busy Kindergardener, my 6-year-old likes to play a learning game with finding a treasure starting with 'A' and then 'B' and so on (since each bag has a different assortment of goodies we just adjust what letters we look for).

Even my chronically disinterested teen likes to fiddle with these and I have to admit, I've been known to kill some time looking for the items myself!

The basic designs come in rectangle or circle shapes. They're easy for little hands to hold and have large windows for searching. "The super-sized bag features our trademarked eye shaped window and 45 different trinkets. It measures 5"x7" (13x18cm)and is also available in a smaller size. The round bags have 27 trinkets, and measures 6"(15cm)in diameter.

The labels are permanently sewn on the back and won't fade - no clumsy cards or directions to misplace!
