Duct Tape to the Rescue Again: Ipod Covers

Duct tape is great but there are a few things you should know before you start:

Duct tape can remove the varnish from furniture & Countertops.
I use an old Fiskers cutting mat. I wouldn't advise using your nice new mat; Duct tape will lift the printing right off.

Duct tape will Gum up your good scissors. I use a Craft knife (mine's an Exacto). I've found this works best. Just stick the tape to the work surface & cut the shapes you need with the Knife. Scissor come in handy for items that have no adhesive showing.

Put your three year old to bed before getting out the Duct tape. Failure to do so will result in odd haircuts as Duct tape is very difficult to get out of hair.

The seams on items made from duct tape may ooze a small bit of adhesive. It may get on your Ipod but it comes off pretty easily. Scrap off the extra adhesive & run your finger over the seam a couple times. That usually fixes it.

OK I think that covers it...Carry On!

Fold the adhesive edges over on themselves so no adhesive is showing. When you're done, it should be 2 1/2" wide.



Decorate using small pieces of duct tape.

I think this pattern can be adjustd for other sizes of Nano by just making it shorter. If you've done this let me know & I'll post it here.
