Without Love
One of my favorite admonitions from the 24-7 Movement
Without Love, our values are at best meaningless, and at worst damaging - death even. Mission without Love is undignified and patronising and all about numbers. Justice without Love is merciless and unforgiving and often violent. Creativity without Love is arrogant and pretentious and self-centred. Hospitality without Love is begrudging, ungrateful and bitter. Learning without Love is puffed-up, proud and disconnected. And Prayer without Love is manipulative and formulaic. Money and buildings and great stories and prophecies and healing and popularity and networks and whatever else - without Love, it's all meaningless, irritating noise. A Prayer PrimerWhat follows are some basic biblical foundations that, when understood in succession, ought to release faith for this partnered intercessory prayer; birthed through the power of love. We will begin to believe in this partnership as we know and believe in our partner and in His love.
Indeed, I tell you truly, the one believing into Me, the works which I do, that one shall do also, and greater than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you may ask in My Name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:12-13
In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not tell you that I will petition the Father about you; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came out from God. John 16:26-27
1. Our God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit is love. 1John 4:16
2. He fully knows us and loves us Psalm 139, John 1 & 3:16
3. We didn't start out broken and we don't end up that way either. We were made for Love. Genesis 1 & 2, Revelation 21
4. As much as we hate the idea that we could be responsible, we, as a race, not God, are responsible for bringing sin and suffering into our world because of our agreement with the father of lies rather than the Father of Lights. "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so death spread to everyone, because all have sinned." Romans 5:12
5. The result of our sin-filled agreement is death and injustice and it affects all of Creation. Once it was initiated, there was no way we could fix the problem, and no way to stop its repercussions. So God, who is Love, came to our rescue. He cut us off from the Tree of Life to protect us from an eternity in this condition until, at just the right moment in time, He could come to our rescue and pay the price Himself for sin in its maturity, and release us from its bondage through the triumph of His Son, Jesus. "For He made the One who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." 2 Corinthians 5:21
6. It was THE FATHER who sent His only begotten Son (John 3:16, 5:36). Our Father loves us and endured the painful tearing of separation; a broken heart if you will; in order to inflict the full wrath of holiness judging-conquering sin upon His deeply loved Son instead of us. In that act, He made us sons. That gave Him great pleasure. Isaiah 53:10(Take the time to hang out with Isaiah 53 and look into Ephesians 1-3. They are crucial passages for us to consider because they reveal this foundational truth: Jesus took on all of our iniquities, transgressions and sins. "Iniquities" refer to our nature of perversity; i.e., our downward bent away from God and toward sin. "Transgressions" refer to our willful rebellion; our choices that say "we will not obey" to God.
In Isaiah 53:10 we are told that the "stroke was to Him". In the King James Version, the word is translated "stricken" for our transgressions. The word "stricken" is the same word used to describe leprosy. In essence, He became a leper for our sakes as He took our sins upon Himself.
We're also told that He took upon Himself the iniquities of us all. He endured crucifixion and took the full blow of judgment; conquering all of our enemies, including sin and death.
He demonstrated that Love is not just as strong as death, but stronger than death and because of that, He is worthy and the only One strong enough to break the seals of Revelation and bring about the redemption of creation. God is to us a God of deliverances (salvation) and to God belongs escape from death. Psalm 68:20, Song of Songs 8:6-7)
7. This Beautiful One; this Bridegroom-Redeemer loves us so much He always makes intercession for us, even now. And the Holy Spirit; the comforter, teacher and power of God in action reveals the truth to us, lives in us and makes intercession with us so we can be in union with God. Isaiah 52:10, 53:5, Zechariah 12:10, John 3:16, John 1:29 John 14:16, Hebrews 10, Romans 8:26, Revelation 58. When Jesus, our forever High Priest, paid fully for our sins, iniquities and transgressions, He completely clothed us in His righteousness and He has taken away our shame. He didn't just pay for those sins we committed before our born again encounter, He also paid for the sins we still struggle with as we work out our salvation. We can boldly approach the Throne of Grace to find mercy and grace because we are IN Him and Christ is in us (plural, corporately) the Hope of Glory. John 1:29, Colossians 1, Hebrews 10
Accepting Love
. . . . by accepting God's love for us, we fall in love with Him and only then do we have the fuel we need to obey. In exchange for our humility and willingness to accept the charity of God, we are given a kingdom. And a beggar's kingdom is better than a proud man's delusion."

9. Our destiny as the Body and Bride is to operate from the same identity as our Bridegroom-Redeemer, Jesus. Our Adamic DNA (both inherited and perpetuated) carries a sin bent nature and a destiny of death. In the grace of God, through faith in Jesus, we get the opportunity of a lifetime so to speak. We are identified with Him in faith and that original identity is crucified with Him in an event that transcends time and space. We emerge from that death into His love bent nature and a destiny of eternal life. We are born anew into/with a new identity. We are a brand new creation. We are clothed with Him and given His DNA. We are in essence and in truth, completely immersed in His name/character/identity. (As a matter of meditation, we are actually baptized in the name/ character/ identity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Chew on that one for awhile.) To be baptized in a name means we are fully immersed in; wet with; clothed with; covered in . . . in this case God. Therefore, we are called to live and love from this identity.But faith coming, we are no longer under a trainer; for you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many as were baptized into Christ, you put on Christ. There cannot be Jew nor Greek, there is no slave nor freeman, there is no male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are of Christ, then you are a seed of Abraham, even heirs according to promise. Galatians 3:25-29
That the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of revelation that you may know what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe which He worked in Christ when He raised Him and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places He put all things under His (Jesus as a Man) feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him Ephesians 1:17-23
Raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ... Ephesians 2:6
For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. "For this, a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh." Gen. 2:24 The mystery is great, but I speak as to Christ and as to the assembly. However, you also, everyone, let each one love his wife as himself, and the wife, that she give deference to the husband. Ephesians 5:30-33
10. God is good. The Hebrew word "good", when describing God's goodness, isn't a small word or concept. It doesn't mean "nice". It means "wildly good"; tremendously, extravagantly good. His goodness and lovingkindness is completely full and bent toward His own. We can rest in that always. . . . The Lord is good; His loving-kindness endures for ever, and his faithfulness unto all generations. Psalm 100:5For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving-kindness toward them that fear him. Psalm 103:11
11. He is unfathomably rich in grace and mercy. We may draw upon the riches of His grace and mercy every time we turn to Him, even as we struggle with the remnants of our pre-Christ nature; i.e., our sins, again and again.
12. When we confess our sins and repent, He is incredibly faithful and quick to forgive us; He is our victory. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word; the kiss if you will, of our testimony. As a result, we can ascend the hill of the Lord with clean hands and a pure heart. Ephesians 1-3, 1John 1:9, Psalm 24:4, Revelation 12:11
13. The Father loves us and loves us and loves us . . . . and hears us because of the gift of righteousness we receive in Jesus. 1Kings 8, 2Chronicles 7:12, Psalm 5:2, John 3:16, John 11:41-42,1John 3:1
14. We are seated at the right hand of God with Christ Jesus and we can and ought to pray from that position (Heaven to earth) Ephesians 2:6
15. We are given governmental responsibility for the earth. Genesis 1:27-31, Psalm 115:16 That responsibility is rightly released through love/justice/humility and prayer.
16. We engage in that responsibility with authority by agreement with God and each other in prayer Matthew 17:21,18:20, John 17, James 5:17, Revelation 8:3
17. We are made from the fabric of Creation. It has been subjected to futility because of us until the sons of God are revealed. Creation's destiny is entirely tied into us. Genesis 1- 3, Romans 8:18-23 Walking in our true identity and agreeing with God in prayer makes all the difference.
The Prayer of Love
"I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3
18. The sons of God are identified as "the peace makers". Matthew 5:9 We become "peace makers" as we embrace our identity in "the Prince of Peace" Isaiah 9:6 and are conformed to His image as the image bearers. Genesis 1:27,Romans 8:2919. Jesus taught us that as "peace makers" we could choose to love our enemies, and pray for those that persecute us; so that we may be sons of our Father who is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. Matthew 5:44-45. That means, through the gift of prayer in love, we don't have to expend useless energy maintaining our anger, our bitter wounds and the chains of un-forgiveness. What a relief! And, as we forgive, we are forgiven. As we are merciful, we receive mercy. It's the sowing/reaping model of Kingdom living.
20. Love and prayer are intimately connected. Prayer is our love language. It is how we engage with God throughout our day; how God helps us with our choices; and how we release love/justice; transforming the scenarios we face. More than that . . . love can be prayed into people and situations. And this is my prayer that your love will keep on growing more and more in full knowledge and perfect insight. Philippians 1:9
21. Our hearts are softened in prayer. (That is at least one reason that we are called to pray for our enemies - so that they won't be our enemies anymore. One less thing to worry about.)22. God likes prayer. Prayers are incense (a pleasing smell) before the Lord. The elders around God's Throne have harps and gold bowls filled with the prayers of the saints. Our prayers are mixed with the fire on the altar and hurled toward the earth with the purposes of God directing them. Psalm 18, Revelation 5:8, 8:1-5
23. God receives thanksgiving and praise because of answered prayer and through that our joy is made complete. Until now you asked nothing in My name; ask, and you will receive, so that your joy may be full. John 16:24, also see Philippians 4:6
24. Our Father's House is to be a House of Prayer and in the House of Prayer we will find joy. Isaiah 56:7, Matthew 21:13
TO WRITE LOVE ON HER ARMS

Pedro the Lion is loud in the speakers, and the city waits just outside our open windows. She sits and sings, legs crossed in the passenger seat, her pretty voice hiding in the volume. Music is a safe place and Pedro is her favorite. It hits me that she won't see this skyline for several weeks, and we will be without her. I lean forward, knowing this will be written, and I ask what she'd say if her story had an audience. She smiles. "Tell them to look up. Tell them to remember the stars."
I would rather write her a song, because songs don't wait to resolve, and because songs mean so much to her. Stories wait for endings, but songs are brave things bold enough to sing when all they know is darkness. These words, like most words, will be written next to midnight, between hurricane and harbor, as both claim to save her.
Renee is 19. When I meet her, cocaine is fresh in her system. She hasn't slept in 36 hours and she won't for another 24. It is a familiar blur of coke, pot, pills and alcohol. She has agreed to meet us, to listen and to let us pray. We ask Renee to come with us, to leave this broken night. She says she'll go to rehab tomorrow, but she isn't ready now. It is too great a change. We pray and say goodbye and it is hard to leave without her.
She has known such great pain; haunted dreams as a child, the near-constant presence of evil ever since. She has felt the touch of awful naked men, battled depression and addiction, and attempted suicide. Her arms remember razor blades, fifty scars that speak of self-inflicted wounds. Six hours after I meet her, she is feeling trapped, two groups of "friends" offering opposite ideas. Everyone is asleep. The sun is rising. She drinks long from a bottle of liquor, takes a razor blade from the table and locks herself in the bathroom. She cuts herself, using the blade to write "FUCK UP" large across her left forearm.
The nurse at the treatment center finds the wound several hours later. The center has no detox, names her too great a risk, and does not accept her. For the next five days, she is ours to love. We become her hospital and the possibility of healing fills our living room with life. It is unspoken and there are only a few of us, but we will be her church, the body of Christ coming alive to meet her needs, to write love on her arms.
She is full of contrast, more alive and closer to death than anyone I've known, like a Johnny Cash song or some theatre star. She owns attitude and humor beyond her 19 years, and when she tells me her story, she is humble and quiet and kind, shaped by the pain of a hundred lifetimes. I sit privileged but breaking as she shares. Her life has been so dark yet there is some soft hope in her words, and on consecutive evenings, I watch the prettiest girls in the room tell her that she's beautiful. I think it's God reminding her.
I've never walked this road, but I decide that if we're going to run a five-day rehab, it is going to be the coolest in the country. It is going to be rock and roll. We start with the basics; lots of fun, too much Starbucks and way too many cigarettes.
Thursday night she is in the balcony for Band Marino, Orlando's finest. They are indie-folk-fabulous , a movement disguised as a circus. She loves them and she smiles when I point out the A&R man from Atlantic Europe, in town from London just to catch this show.
She is in good seats when the Magic beat the Sonics the next night, screaming like a lifelong fan with every Dwight Howard dunk. On the way home, we stop for more coffee and books, Blue Like Jazz and (Anne Lamott's) Travelling Mercies.
On Saturday, the Taste of Chaos tour is in town and I'm not even sure we can get in, but doors do open and minutes after parking, we are on stage for Thrice, one of her favorite bands. She stands ten feet from the drummer, smiling constantly. It is a bright moment there in the music, as light and rain collide above the stage. It feels like healing. It is certainly hope.
Sunday night is church and many gather after the service to pray for Renee, this her last night before entering rehab. Some are strangers but all are friends tonight. The prayers move from broken to bold, all encouraging. We're talking to God but I think as much, we're talking to her, telling her she's loved, saying she does not go alone. One among us knows her best. Ryan sits in the corner strumming an acoustic guitar, singing songs she's inspired.
After church our house fills with friends, there for a few more moments before goodbye. Everyone has some gift for her, some note or hug or piece of encouragement. She pulls me aside and tells me she would like to give me something. I smile surprised, wondering what it could be. We walk through the crowded living room, to the garage and her stuff.
She hands me her last razor blade, tells me it is the one she used to cut her arm and her last lines of cocaine five nights before. She's had it with her ever since, shares that tonight will be the hardest night and she shouldn't have it. I hold it carefully, thank her and know instantly that this moment, this gift, will stay with me. It hits me to wonder if this great feeling is what Christ knows when we surrender our broken hearts, when we trade death for life.
As we arrive at the treatment center, she finishes: "The stars are always there but we miss them in the dirt and clouds. We miss them in the storms. Tell them to remember hope. We have hope."
I have watched life come back to her, and it has been a privilege. When our time with her began, someone suggested shifts but that is the language of business. Love is something better. I have been challenged and changed, reminded that love is that simple answer to so many of our hardest questions. Don Miller says we're called to hold our hands against the wounds of a broken world, to stop the bleeding. I agree so greatly.
We often ask God to show up. We pray prayers of rescue. Perhaps God would ask us to be that rescue, to be His body, to move for things that matter. He is not invisible when we come alive. I might be simple but more and more, I believe God works in love, speaks in love, is revealed in our love. I have seen that this week and honestly, it has been simple: Take a broken girl, treat her like a famous princess, give her the best seats in the house. Buy her coffee and cigarettes for the coming down, books and bathroom things for the days ahead. Tell her something true when all she's known are lies. Tell her God loves her. Tell her about forgiveness, the possibility of freedom, tell her she was made to dance in white dresses. All these things are true.
We are only asked to love, to offer hope to the many hopeless. We don't get to choose all the endings, but we are asked to play the rescuers. We won't solve all mysteries and our hearts will certainly break in such a vulnerable life, but it is the best way. We were made to be lovers bold in broken places, pouring ourselves out again and again until we're called home.
I have learned so much in one week with one brave girl. She is alive now, in the patience and safety of rehab, covered in marks of madness but choosing to believe that God makes things new, that He meant hope and healing in the stars. She would ask you to remember.

24/7 - Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week; unceasing or continuous
Anna anointing - [term] Referring to Anna who "did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day" (Luke 2:36-38). In application, this refers to the grace to spend long hours in prayer with fasting and to sustain it for many years. "Annas" are men or women, old and young, whose primary ministry is fasting and prayer aimed at changing the spiritual atmosphere of a city or nation. This is not their only ministry, as Anna did the work of an evangelist and was a prophetess; she is recorded as the first evangelist in the New Testament as well
Anointing A special grace, blessing or extreme unction from God
Antiphonal Singing [term] Responsive alternation between singers; also referred to as call and response
Apostolic [adjective] Describing the nature, teachings and activities modeled by the apostles in the New Testament
Apostolic Intercession Intercessory prayer to God on behalf of others derived from the apostles' prayers written in the New Testament, which reflect the desires of God's heart for the people. Common examples of apostolic prayers are Ephesians 1:17-19, Philippians1:9-1 and Matthew 6:9-13.
Awaken love [petition] A prayer asking to be filled with God's love (see Ephesians 3:16-19); to cause love or passion for God to be stirred up; to come alive to God in the deepest part of your life (Song 2:7)
Awakened Heart [term] A state of living and being in God in such a way that your spirit and emotions are alive and responsive to Him (Song 2:10; Isaiah 61:1)
Beloved [biblical term] Seen regularly in the Song of Songs and in the Gospel of John, this term initially refers to how God views human beings; they are His beloved. Secondarily, it refers to how human beings grow to view God; He becomes their beloved. This emotional exchange between God and His creation carries the most weight when it is birthed from the Bridal Paradigm
Bridal Paradigm [term] IHOP term used to describe a view of God presented in the scriptures, revealing God as passionate and emotional, filled with gladness, affection and beauty. Whether Jew or Gentile, the redeemed are described in the Bible as the Bride of Christ, while Jesus is presented as a passionate Bridegroom who loves us and lays down His life for us. By the Father's design and the Son's passionate work on the cross, the Holy Spirit is bringing forth a remnant out of the human race to be voluntary lovers of God. These redeemed, the Bride of Christ, will co-rule in intimate relationship forever with Jesus, the Bridegroom God
Bridegroom, King and Judge Three specific faces of God that are being emphasized currently, and will be increasingly emphasized as time comes to an end
Bridegroom Fasting Another dimension of glory that Jesus added to the doctrine of fasting (Matthew 9:15). In this way, fasting is not simply abstaining, instead it becomes the expression of longing and mourning for the presence of the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ
Bridegroom God [term] This refers to Jesus Christ when He spoke of Himself as the Bridegroom (Mark 2:19-20)
Burning Heart [term] A person who is filled with the love and passion of God (see Isaiah 64:1-2); a heart in fellowship with Jesus in prayer (John 5:35)
Captivated/Fascinated/Ravished Heart [literal phrase] In the context of the Bridal Paradigm, this refers to someone who is wholeheartedly in love with God. In the natural, this refers to a heart moved with deep emotion and love due to the actions of their lover (Song 4:9)
Daniel Anointing A special grace to enter into extended periods of fasting and prayer, specifically seeking revelation as to the meaning and implications of dreams, visions or other divine communications regarding the End Times (Daniel 1-12)
David(ic) Anointing Generally refers to the combining of the kingly and priestly anointing; a person after God's own heart (1 Samuel 13:14)
Devotional (see Harp and Bowl Model) One of four prayer formats observed at IHOP-KC: a worship team provides an anointed atmosphere for people to read and meditate on Scripture and listen to God's Spirit (Psalm 27:4, 8 and 14; Isaiah 30:15)
Divine Escort [title] Overarching phrase describing some of the attributes of the Holy Spirit as He accompanies the redeemed through life. Other common terms include helper, comforter and guide (John 14:15-27; John 16:5-14)
Eternal Age (also see End Times, Millennial Kingdom and Second Coming) The final timeframe spoken of in the Bible; also called eternity. The redeemed and the triune God are continually in each other's presence forever, while those rejecting Jesus will spend their eternity in the Lake of Fire
Fire of God Two inter-related terms:_1) God's enabling presence to follow the First and Second Commandments_2) God's presence sent as a judge to burn away everything that hinders His love, thus enabling individuals to follow the First and Second Commandments
First Commandment "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 22:37-40)." Also referred to as making God your first love (Revelation 2:4)
Forerunner (also see John the Baptist) [biblical phrase] A person who goes ahead of the Lord and prepares people for His coming (Luke 1:76; Isaiah 40)
Forerunner Ministry - The purpose of this ministry is to announce the unprecedented activities of the Lord that are just around the corner in order to make sense of what is happening. The forerunner ministry has three main activities at the end of the age: restoring the First Commandment to first place, releasing miracles to bring in the Great Harvest, and releasing the temporal judgments of God. John the Baptist and the prophet Isaiah are two examples of the forerunner ministry
Friend of the Bridegroom Jesus Christ refers to Himself as the Bridegroom. John the Baptist refers to himself as a friend of the Bridegroom who stands and hears the Bridegrooms voice and is glad (John 3:29; John 15:14-15); this is the primary identity of a forerunner
God-Man [title] Referring to Jesus Christ and His divine and human origin; He is fully God and fully human
Governmental Intercession [term] Intercessory prayer to God on behalf of a people by a representative of the people (Daniel 9:4-20; Nehemiah 1:3-11)
Harp and Bowl Model A term derived from Revelation 5:8, describing the elders before the throne with harps (representing worship with music) and a bowl of incense (representing the prayers of God's people). It is the basic model of IHOP-KC's prayer meetings-combining worship (led by worship teams) and prayer (both personal and corporate). IHOP-KC utilizes four Harp and Bowl formats: Worship with the Word, Devotional, Intercessory Worship and Prophetic Worship
Intercessory Worship (see Harp and Bowl) One of four prayer formats observed at IHOPKC: a worship team provides an anointed atmosphere for people to intercede concerning various corporate prayer concerns
John the Baptist [person; representation of the forerunner ministry] One who announced the unprecedented activities of the Lord that were just around the corner. John describes
himself as the friend of the Bridegroom, which is the fundamental identity for a forerunner (John 3:29). Jesus described John as "a burning and shining lamp" (John 5:35)
Joseph Anointing [term] Referring to those called to prosper in the marketplace so they may make provision to "preserve life" (Genesis 45:5) in the time when God releases His end-time judgments on the Earth. These "Josephs" will have the anointing to release the prophetic, strategic thinking and mercy deeds to the nations, impacting leaders and building "cities of habitation" (Psalm 107; Exodus 1:11). King Cyrus is another example of this, but with the emphasis placed on building the Lord's house (the Temple) by releasing incredible wealth into the Kingdom (Isaiah 44:24-28 and 45:1-13, and the many references throughout the book of Daniel; 2 Chronicles 36:22-23; Ezra 1 and 2)
Kiss me with the kisses of your Word A literal prayer from Song of Songs 1:2 asking that, as people read the Word, God would reveal His love, affections and beauty so as to empower holiness and love for Him (Song 1:2-4; John 17:17; Ephesians 1:17)
The Knowledge of God [biblical phrase] A prayer asking God to reveal Himself; it originates from the apostolic prayer of Ephesians 1:16-19; also called the revelation of the knowledge of God
Lovesick [biblical phrase] Overwhelmed by love for God (Song of Songs 2:5 and 5:8)
Like a Fire and Like a Hammer, Break In [biblical phrase] A prayer sung at IHOP-KC prayer sessions asking the Lord to break into our lives with His Word (Jeremiah 23:29)
"Let's lift our voices" [phrase] During IHOP-KC prayer meetings, this is one way the prayer leader encourages everyone to participate in the worship by singing a spontaneous
song of love to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19)
The love song of your heart [phrase] The special song that no one else but you can sing to God because of your uniqueness in God and your love for Him (Psalm 139:13-18); it is
accompanied by being filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18-19)
Mary of Bethany [person] A friend and follower of Jesus Christ; Mary was representative of following the First Commandment; she lived a fasted lifestyle of pure and simple devotion to Jesus Christ; she sat at the feet of Jesus (Luke 10:38-42); Jesus spent His final days before His crucifixion in Bethany with Mary, Martha and Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead (John 12:1-3)

- That is awesome that there is an IHOP in Long Island. I went to a school there where we saw God move in amazing ways. God brought revival to a few hundred merchant marines!
