I have contacts... and so should you
So the other day I was wondering; "You know, how many contacts does the average guy out there have?" And there inspiration struck! Why not make a lens on it? Yeah! In this lens, YOU will be posting content for everyone else to see.
As the polls start showing some concrete trend, I'll update this lens to tell you all what the average dude out there looks like in this aspect!
Find out the great polls I prepared

Go buy some contacts!
If you can't see well, you should consider using contacts!
Let's get down to business, and will you please answer the following questions? You will provide valuable information for my research, which is currently in the planning stages...ie. I have no idea what I'm researching.
Just answer and let people know your IM stats! They may compare to you and all! That's the whole point of this lens after all.
Chat vs E-Mail
The ultimate battle! Who will win?
It works like a letter and has a similar format, but the receiver gets it instantly. You can also send E-Mails with files attached, what's another plus obviously!
On the other hand, when chatting, the receiver must be online at the same time as you are, but you get to communicate in an informal way, and has more of a conversational tone.
Since this lens is made for you, and basically "by you" with me as a help to it, I decided to add this little poll at the beginning, since many have manifested to prefer E-mail to IMs.
How many contacts do YOU have?
If you use more than one IM provider, choose the one you use most and tell us just how many contacts you have?
Out of these contacts, how many do you actively chat with?
Many people add others as their contacts and never chat, or their contacts may change their e-mail, etc... That causes that, among all your contacts, you only chat to a few. Exactly how many? (Percentually speaking)
What do you think?
Some people may think that the more, the better; while others think they should only add their trustworthy people... so what do YOU think?
Many contacts vs a select few?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byAs many as possible!
Just the bare minimum
poddys says:
I rarely chat via IM. I use email more often, because I don't have time to be chatting interactively. When I do, emailing back and forth works pretty good. The only people I IM with are my girlfriend and occasionally my daughter. My MSN account is really for Webcam chats as much as for IM.

How chat-addicted are you?
Your average chatting time...
I hope you already know this, but...
1st) Having more than 600 contacts is sick! You can't possibly chat to so many people!2nd) If you answered you have no contacts or you don't chat with any of them, you have some serious problems going on. I suggest you go to the psychiatrist instead of reading this lens.
3rd) Between 50 and 200 contacts is just fine, as long as we aren't speaking of contact lenses.
4th) Try to get some sleep. Just don't chat through the night, it isn't good for your health.
5th) My jokes suck.
Drop by and leave some feedback please...
This lens was purely made for having fun, comparing your IM stats to others, so why not leave some feedback and tell us how you are doing compared to others?
Or maybe just rank this lens, stumble it or lensroll it?

- Both of them has its pros and cons. for example some of the IM applications eat a lot of your computers memory space, while emails is not that heavy on the memory but if you need to send a message asap then if is not that quick.

- Very nice lens. I don't IM, I e-mail. But I'll come back to see what kind of information you get from readers.

- Interesting lens. 5*****, it will be interesting to see what others say. I think you can blog with a lot of cyber-friends ok, but IM'ing IMHO is only for good friends, relatives or co-workers.
