Ian Thorpe - Australian Swimmer
Arguably the greatest swimmer of all-time is Australia's Ian Thorpe. Ian was the winner of three gold medals at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and followed this up with two gold medals in Athens at the Olympics in 2004. Ian Thorpe was also 11 time World long course Champion in 1998 in Perth (two gold), 2001 in Fukuoka (6 gold) and 2003 in Barcelona (3 gold) and two time World Short Course Champion.

- On Friday 11/2/11 Ian Thorpe walked past me in Caringbah shopping centre at the railway station traffic lights. The time was approximately 12 noon. He crossed the road and got into his car and drove off towards Cronulla along the Kingsway.
