Do You Play A Ibanez GRGM21M Mikro Mini Electric Guitar?

  • fingers Jul 4, 2010 @ 6:55 pm | delete
I'm an adult who has played for years but I happen to like small guitars. I have a bunch of guitars, including a couple of small scale jobs. I bought this as a kick around guitar.
Out of the box, this was pretty bad. Truss rod nut was loose, fret edges were rough, machine heads only so so. As a toy for a child, it's just fine. As a real instrument, it has potential.
I polished the frets, adjusted the truss rod, installed a better pickup in the bridge position, replaced the pots and input jack then added a Roland GK-2 synth pickup.
I love it. It weighs next to nothing, sounds solid and feels really good.
If you're willing to put a little time and effort, and cash into it, you've got the beginnings of a really hot little guitar here.
