My volunteer job as one of VikisFinds mods is to publish the VikisFinds OOAK List of the Day. Above and beyond doing a good job, one of the most important things I wanted to do was to find a way to showcase the fantastic works of the VikisFinds forum members on the world wide web, and have the information readily available around the clock, and easily accessible to anyone interested.
The VikisFinds Squidoo Lens has only been open since July, so remember when you visit this site, you are viewing a work progress. October of this year will be my one year anniversary as a member of VikisFinds Mod Squad. This lens is my Happy Anniversary to the Yahoo Group Members of VikisFinds, and all artists who make possible one of the best online OOAK doll shows in the world, and the collectors who appreciate and encourage the art of the doll. Consider the daily finds list as a OOAK Runway link that you can share with anyone you want.
Now for a little bio: My birth name is Altona. I have many nick names - charlino is one of them. Art is and always has been my passion and choice profession. Among my hobbies are the rescue and restoration of old Ideal Tammy dolls, and the creation of Celebrity Star Card Studio. Both hobbies involve creating works of art by means of illustration, painting, photography, and more. My volunteer work includes event photography, web page composition, graphic and package design.
Besides working on this lens, I am currently working on several projects. Two works in progress involve promoting and preserving the fine art of family and the family farm. I have always looked at parenthood as an art form that too often goes un noticed, and the the small family farm is fast becoming a lost art. Many of my dolls and artworks reside with private collectors from around the world. My SFA (self representing artist) work titled, "The Kitchen Wizardry of Mrs. G" is currently one of four of my works featured on YouTube as part of DebCoArt's "2007 Mothers Day" presentation.
