What did it mean?

Do you have any alternate theories for this horse scenario? or do you just want to say 'Hi'?

    I suspect that she went to college to learn horse training.

    My theory is that she sold a prized horse at a stock show and used that money to pay for one year of college but had no way to pay for more years of college. It of course doesn't mention that she didn't complete the other three years. The quote only mentions one year of college. Perhaps it was a college degree that took a year such as beauty or cooking college?..who knows??Maybe she did a two or four year degree and found a way to pay for those other three years?perhaps because of a prized llama, bull or lamb

    For years I wondered if she was referring to heroin... as in - if I didn't have that heroin to take the edge off I wouldn't have made it through college.

    Maybe her parents only let her continue to ride her horse if she went to college. But after one year, she decided college was just too much of a pain.

    I think that story is about my older sister... she was like 15 when our parents got her a horse (we moved to country a little before that) and she had this riding instructor that she thought was really hot, and he was a college student, and they kinda had this thing goin... so she went to his college and tried dating him, but it didnt work out and she hated college, so she dropped out after a year. She used to joke about never having gone to college if my parents hadnt gotten her that horse, so I dunno... mebbe thats where Louis Black heard it from, she wouldve been about the right age. Anyway I didnt know it had become this big thing, and then someone said it to me the otehr day, and I found this on here. Go figure.

    Lewis Black is one of my favorite stand-up comedians! He was so cool that I even had some of his pics on my personal checks! I got the idea from a friend who had his own set of Christian checks with holy images that he had chosen! anyway, thanks for featuring Mr. Black! He' really a total stand-up comedian 100%!

    Maybe she was on the school's equestrian team on scholarship? I knew a few girls in college that were there on scholarship for equestrianism, and actually won nationals...

    MAYBE,the girl was rich and they had horses and ranches and what not.and she fell in love with that horse.the family soon got down on their luck and are forced to sell the horse to pay off debts.so the girl works her way through college to a great career and earns enough money to buy back the horse
