IKEA Furniture for Your Home Business

IKEA is an incredible online furniture store! My mother first mentioned IKEA to me about a year ago and said how wonderful IKEA furniture is and how affordable the price. I thought "yeah right", we've gone to the big box furniture place before and the furniture quality was poor, and the hype from the salespeople was a turn off.

 We packed up the kids and trucked on down to Canton, Michigan, and visited IKEA.

I knew something was up when on a Monday at 11:00 am, the family friendly parking lot was filling quickly. Cars were pulling U-hauls.

Never being in the store before, we asked a friendly IKEA greeter what to do. 

 He was very helpful. There was a method to shopping here. Creative! I liked that.

 Kids are Welcome at IKEA Stores!

To our surprise, kids are encouraged to come along. A Big plus for us. There is a free supervised playroom while you shop. Check store for details. We didn't use this family feature this time and 6 hours later, our children were still smiling.

 Notepad , Pencil and Tape Measure

We picked up a notepad, pencil and tape measure to write down price tag details.  Each of our children also took their own order form and pencil and we were off to the upper level furnished showrooms. Wow!

Price Tag Details

The price tags show color, materials, sizes etc. You can pick up your items in the self-service area on the lower level or ask for help from one of the IKEA sales help.

And guess what? The IKEA salespeople didn't bother us. If we needed help, we asked them, and they were very helpful. NO hype! So relax and when you get tired, sit down on a sofa or bed and take a break.

Lunchtime

IKEA has a Cafeteria style restaurant on the upper level. They have a special kids menu. Great Swedish food!  We camped out right by the children's play area with many items available for sale, and the kids took a break watching a video while Curt and I had time to make some final decisions on what we were going to take home. The  lower level had a restaurant too.

Self-Serve

The self-serve area is on the lower level.

We found everything we needed quite easily. We also got a few items in the clearance area as well.

Check-Out

 Check out was a piece of cake! You will have to bag your own items as in many stores,  keeps prices down.

Loading Area

The loading area is right out front and very convenient.  There are IKEA helpers there to load your items into your vehicle.  Smile, have fun and they will have fun with you.

We definitely will be back. We are IKEA fans.

We picked up a free catalog at the store.  You can get online or browse their 2007 IKEA catalog.

Grab something to drink, get a notebook and pencil, and begin to
