Smooth Moves

This intriguing faux charcoal drawing is actually a piece of digital art.

Similar to my other artwork (but not tinted) titled "Sinuosity #1", the softly yielding curves of the main features, with their diagonal movement and smooth radiant sheen, are offset and complimented by horizontals and diagonals and a background with a rougher textured surface.

Flowers for M'Lady

A pretty bouquet of flowers, simple yet elegant. This is a computer generated mathematically derived conical flower and leaves, constructed of many smaller conical flowers and leaves, constructed from many smaller conical flowers and leaves, etc.

I use fractal programs frequently, for much of my art.

The Golden Hind

Originally named Pelican, this ship was an English galleon captained by Sir Francis Drake in which he circumnavigated the globe.

This panoramic marine art shows the ship in the distance, with the moon barely visible behind it peeking through the clouds.

These are either images of actual mosaics or faux mosaics created digitally, since this page is about giclee prints, and not about actual sculptures or pottery or mosaics, etc.

California Poppy

There are two configurations of this faux mosaic, one with a tiled background and this one with a swirled background. Both simulate the look of an actual mosaic, with highlighting and shadow details on each individual tile.

This derivative work, inspired by a friend's photograph, is a digital mosaic of two California Poppies basking in the sun. The digital tiles used in the background swirl to add dynamic flow and a sense of movement to the image, while the tiles used to depict the flowers follow the contour of the petals and radiate our from the flower's stem.
