Tips For Improved Search Engine Ranking

I m going to concentrate mainly on improved search engine ranking in google, since google dominates 60% of US internet search traffic.

Google like mostly 2 things:
1. The age of your domain (so maybe consider to buy an old existing domain)
2. Links (quality links and just alot of links - and i'll expand later on)

First of all you should let Google know what is your page about meaning that you'll need to decide what your page will be about.
For that you can do a keyword research (if you dont know how - give me a comment and i'll put a lens on that) and check the competition you are facing.

After that put the phrase or the keyword you chose in the title of your page and also in diffrent headings (H1, H2, H3 etc.).
Try to have the phrase/keyword between 2-5% of your page, and the closer to head of the page - the better.

Now concentrate on getting good, quality links.
The easiest way to do that is to subbmit your domain into high quality directories like Dmoz and Yahoo. If you need some more directories just give me a shout out in the comment box.

Another good way to get quality links is to publish articles in high quality sites like Squidoo, Ezinearticles and as many newspapers site you can get into - of course you must include your link in the end of your article.
To get invited to write in a famous blog of your niche is another great way to get links and so does giving testimonials in high quality sites.
